UCL: Ancelotti becomes most successful manager ahead of Guardiola, Mourinho

Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti, has become the most successful manager in the history of the Champions League.

The Italian, on Saturday, won his third title with the LaLiga giants, thanks to a 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund.

It is the fifth the 65-year-old has won in total after two with AC Milan.

Ancelotti won it twice at Milan in 2003 and 2007, then again at Real Madrid in 2014, 2022 and 2024.

Next on the list of the Champions League/European Cup’s most successful managers are Pep Guardiola, Zinedine Zidane and Liverpool’s Bob Paisley, who are all tied on three.

Jose Mourinho and Sir Alex Ferguson have won it twice each.

He deserves it.

Meanwhile, I think Doutmund Coach made mistake by removing Adeyemi and Living Sancho in the pitch. Despite the fact that he missed couple of chances, that guy was more of threat to Madrid in the attack and he falls back to defense as well. Regardless, Madrid might still win. But still on still, it was a bad change.

Is like, Zidane doesn't want to ruin his reputation/pedigree. Because it looks he has develop cold feet taking another Coaching challenge.

The heading is misleading since Carlo Accelloti was already ahead on 4 titles while the next guys were on 3 titles. He didn't just "become", he just upped and consolidated his leadership in that category.
