Awolowo and Yoruba placed themselves in opposition. Zik was foolishly thinking he could work with him and Sarduana...maybe even outsmarting them.... and he failed woefully.

Many Yoruba today are agitating and supporting an Oduduwa state that includes regions of Togo and Benin. The issue is the same fear fear...that is, if an Oduduwa State will collapse into warring factions and backstabbing as in the times of the Oyo Empire and Af.onja.

But this is 2024... we are all wiser now... and frankly, ethnic based nations or rather, states with a common and dominant value system, is the obvious way to go....
