Atiku is not so smart.

He shouldn't have addressed that press conference himself as he didnt say anything meaningful except ridicule himself by admitting unwittingly that Obasanjo took all the southwest states but he fought him from taking Lagos. He also shouldn't have called on Kwankwaso and Obi to join him in his fight for justice as Atiku would be the ultimate beneficiary if he has anything incriminating against Tinubu. He should not have mentioned anything about Tinubu asking to be his vice president. He certainly should not have said anything about APC governors coming to his house and he refused them entry into his premises. That was childish and undiplomatic to say.

The press conference yesterday was totally unnecessary. It was Dele Momodu's idea. Bob Dee has consistently exercised poor judgement in political advise he gives to people. Atiku should have issued a press statement through one of his lackeys and say he'd file his findings at the Supreme Court and leave it at that.

Atiku was a big boy, but he has not processed his current defeat with grace. He should have maintained his dignified silence and let his media men fight. Imagine IBB, Abdulsallam Abubakar, Bukola Saraki, Goodluck Jonathan or even Buhari behaving like Atiku did yesterday. No one would respect them again.

All in all, it was in bad taste.
