Well, the Nigerian forces decided that it would be best to surround the Igbo states. So they started from Ebonyi in the north, delta in the west led by the man in the #20 note I've forgotten his name. and calabar in the east led by Benjamin adekunle. Akwaibom wasnt a state then.

So nobody pushed anybody to the war front as you allege. The war came to Niger deltans.

And Biafra wasn't historically only Igbos. Don't give these people things to capitalize on for their division games.
And yes, the old eastern assembly voted to secede. It wasn't just an Ojukwu declaration.

A lone mans naked lust for power saw the adoption of biafra as the name of the new nation. The name was imposed on the region by that same man. Biafra, as a nomenclature, is alien, and is both a colonial and slavery vestige.

It has no literal meaning in igbo. So, how can a name with that characterization be used to define an indigenous and homogenous ethnicity as big as the igbo, and yet seccessionist crusaders like you find no contradiction therein.

If Nigeri was going to be a great nation, its not military coup that would have stopped that. Countries like China, South Korea and Singapore used to be at par with Nigeria in 1960. All of them suffered military coups, but all have left Nigeria behind and zoomed off

This is why the Biafran agitators want referendum, those who vote to be become Biafrans will become, those who vote against will continue with Nigeria. The last thing anybody wants in Biafra is to start with any ethnic who is against Biafra

As for the sea, there are many landlocked countries in Africa. As big as Ethiopia is with about 100 million people, it is still landlocked. Seaport is not enough reason for one to throw away a chance of independence and freedom
