Opay, Kuda, Others Resume Registration Of New Customers As CBN Lifts Restriction by fergie001(op):
The Central Bank of Nigeria has lifted the six-week-,long restriction on onboarding new customers imposed on Paga, moniepoint, Kuda, OPay and PalmPay services.

It can be recalled that on April 29, the Apex Bank barred the aforesaid MFBs/FinTechs from opening new accounts and accepting new customers over allegations that they were being used to funnel cryptocurrency and manipulate the naira’s value.

We have good news:

As you probably already know, we’ve been working with the CBN to meet recent regulatory requirements by putting more account controls in place.

Based on the work we’ve done, we'll resume signing up new customers this week! 🎉

Please, note that you’ll need your BVN, NIN and your proof of address (followed by address verification) to open a Tier 3 account.

Get the Kuda app on the Play Store or the App Store. 💜

That's a welcome development .
However, you shouldn't forget that you need to register your POS business.
If you have existing business name, it's equally important that you file your annual returns up to date in order to keep the status of the business active.

the control this government has over the country’s system is too much monopolized- putting things on and off, its too frustrating- no common man considerations, nothing to ease the less privileged- what are leaders for? Mehn, Humanity is not realistic any more

It's like the CBN governor is a kind of "indiamin" dictator. Apparently he has started taking some hit over his destructive policies .

Good for them
Why were they suspended initially was it not because of suspected crypto money laundering? What have they nabbed them for now. Government chasing shadows instead of reversing their obnoxious policies

Moniepoint is a very useless bank. Scammers are using people's Bvn number to create accounts unlike Opay. Opay is more safe than Moniepoint.
