Right from the time I have a better understanding of what religion is and the difference in every religion, I have been wanting to ask this question. Is Bible the only religious book one can easily read, comprehend and remembered because it's the only book I have seen that's been referenced/quoted always from motivational speakers, neighbors, friends, random people and above all people of other religions that have nothing to do with Bible.
This quotes or references comes from random conversations, advice, jokes, comedy, movies, and many more.

I know some might be asking how many of other religious books have I read; but not withstanding I have seen scholars of other religion that have never for once quoted or referenced anything from their religious books randomly.

Which is why the question kept coming.

Since you admit to not having read any other religious books, how can you possibly be certain they have not referenced/quoted books you never read?

I never said I haven't read any other religious book and also I gave instances to religious scholars of other religions to quoting Bible and not their own religious book.

Any book can be used but not all books have a whole religion set up to scam people with, particularly a religion that pretends to be accepting of every culture and peoples out there.

I quote Bible and Quran because those are the only religious books most Nigerians have read. Most wouldn't understand what is meant if I quoted from the Dhammapada.

Thankfully, the Bible and Quran say pretty much the same thing once you get past the literal to the actual meaning.

You really don't get my point. I have watched movies of different people and religious and yes the Bible has more references. That's why I said from random conversations, advice, jokes, comedy, movies, and many more.

I think I do get your point. We are Nigerians, and our religious books are the Bible and the Qur'an, so that is what we quote. If we were Chinese or Indians, we'd quote different books even in random conversations, advice, jokes, comedy, movies, and many more.

Incidentally, our reading of only one book makes us ignorant or at least less informed than those who live by all the books the gods wrote.

A couple of simple reasons. It's the dominant and most practiced religion in the world, secondly its the religion practiced by most people speaking the most dominant language(english) in the world of which all the media forms you consume is written in, finally its the dominant religion in your locale ergo you encounter more people who tend to cite it more often, in the popular language around.
Same reason why people all over recognize actors and cite lines from movies made in hollywood than any other film industry.
