Must you comment on everything and anythinghuh
He is totally right on this, read again, Obi didn't say CBN should not revoke heritage bank licence, he was only telling the CBN and federal government to ensure all customers of the bank are paid immediately withiout delay.

See, whenever cbn revoke a bank licence, it transfer thr control to NDIC, and you know how they normally do. Some people at the top will just sit on their money and delay payment for years. Some won't even see their money forever. We have seen such cases many times before.

To you daft fellas bashing PO, if u have money in heritage bank, then body go tell u, imagine a person wey get up to 50m for account will only get 5m, because it's only 5m out of him 50m is truly insured with NDIC.

Try and be smart and read to understand. NdIC and CBN are not paying the customers in full, and he is saying that actions like that can destabilise the economy by sending the wrong message leading to fear of people keeping their funds in the banks, also considering that some depositors of Heritage bank are SME businesses it can have a negative impact. Please remove bias and read to understand and not to just comment.
Where exactly did you get this from?

Try and read the write up with your senses intact and not suspended. He didn't condemn the liquidation of Heritage Bank, but he said depositors must be paid in full, because if they are not it can destabilise the economy since some of them are SMEs

Obi, you are not saying anything new other than to just bark. NDIC normally handles payment to the depositors and also handles the payment in an orderly and immediately.
Are you sure you are normal? If he didn't talk the same you guys will say rubbish. Guy get a meaningful job and stop trolling PO

Don't educate him coz he's already biased simply coz the statement is from Peter Obi that he hates. If he's the one that his savings or the money he uses to run business is stock in the bank you hear him swearing and cursing. This very fellow will curse bank workers for a mild case of just an ATM failing to pay him on time. Now he's claiming ignorance of what Peter Obi the wiseman has pointed out. We all know that this money will likely not be paid this year. There will be man -made delays, bribery, padi padi, nepotism, etc. Businesses will further be closed coz capital is locked up, especially those with current accounts.

Why not tell us what crime your Heritage Bank committed or are you telling us CBN just vexed for no reason and revoked Heritage license? Mbannu. Tell Nigerians what your bank have done wrong in secret and they were caught or shut da f u c k.

Grigory your NLC TUC plan to derailed the country through politically motivated protest didn't work you now diverted to Heritage Bank issue. We are still coming for Hero Brewery and your other two banks where you have higher stake in and that your monopolistic import license wecwill revok soon. I told you we will remove all your feathers, cut your wings then throw you inside rain with nothing to protect you for your bitterness against this country just simply you lost election. We will destroy you obi its a promise.
You don't have sense walahi. Your own is just to write trash. He supported the liquidation, but he is saying that depositors be paid in full without delays, because any action contrary will destabilise the economy. Is it too hard for your sense to comprehend?

What's this one saying?

Is a Bank where its customers cannot access their funds a functional bank?

Shey NDIC say he no go give people their full money ni?

He just Wan dey chuk mouth for every single thing...dey do eye Service
Did they tell you that customers could not access their funds before CBN license revocation? Also read and understand before commenting. He didn't condemn the revocation by CBN, he is saying that customers must be paid in full by NDIC, anything other than that will lead to sending wrong signals to the economy concerning safety of depositors funds.

Try and use your sense to read well. How didnyou write use of English in JAMB if you cannot understand simple comprehension.

Chai, what is this man saying?😊 H.E Obi, not everything deserves a comment from you. This is demeaning your intellectual capacity. The Heritage Board is to be blamed. Even Kuda and the likes have a stronger market structure than Heritage. The CBN had no other option but to act in this scenario, and that's exactly what they did. Or did you expect them to fold their hands and watch the Heritage Board empty every last Kobo?

The limit of NDIC bank insurance is 5M for commercial banks.
Try and have sense. PO is advocating that in this harsh economy like this NDIC/CBN should try and ensure full payment to depositors to cushion the impact of the revocation on the economy anythingnother than that sends a wrong signal that destabilises the economy. Try and be smart naaa.

The matter tìrẹ me ó.
If not for ignorance or political clout, NDIC already stated that they will sort out all depositors with not more than 5million as the limit depending on what each customer saved.
So, why is he telling them to pay in full? The policy has been there before now. Limit is 5 million.

BTW, it looks like saving more than 5million in a bank is risky now o grin
So him advocating that they suspend the policy temporarily to ensure that customers are paid in full to cushion its impact on a harsh economy is political clout abi? If your money was stuck in Heritage bank will you say this? Oga fear God stop being selfish and wicked. Your hatred from PO doesn't make you think sensibly.

This point exactly is why many knowledgeable people consider him dull. NDIC insurance was even at a point just 500k. That means that is the maximum amount your money in the bank is insured. When banking with a bank, these are the things you are expected to know, so if a so called former bank chairman does not know how things like this work, then it becomes worrisome.

If on the other hand he knows but just wants to play politics with it, then he is a dangerous man.

People are already complaining.

Enemy of NIGERIANs when will you care about your countrymen
Did gbajuẹ Peter Obi care about his countrymen when he jumped into the communist camp of LP labourers from capitalist PDP, in his misguided and miscalculated desperate attempt to get into Aso Rock, which made it easier for ThiefNuibu to continue APC shege of Buhari in his own Emilokan turn?

Who is the desperado fooling apart from himself and his dogmatic ObiDense followers huh

Someone who should be ashamed of his role in helping ThiefNuibu inflict damage on us and be doing a forgive-me tour of our country.

jameshankss:
Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has said he is sure the candidate of Labour Party (LP), Mr Peter Obi, would lose the 2023 presidential election. Soludo said he would not submit to the bullying of Obi’s supporters, who recently descended on him for addressing issues in the state.

The governor made the comments in a lengthy write-up personally authored, with the title, “History Beckons, and I Will Not Be Silent (Part 1).”

Soludo said Obi was inadvertently making the pathway to victory much easier for the presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, and at the same time, toying with the destiny of millions of Ndigbo.
>>
>>
He stated, “For full disclosure, let me state that Peter Obi and I are not just friends, we call ourselves ‘brothers’. But we have political differences: he left APGA for PDP after his tenure as governor, while I have remained in APGA since 2013.

“During the last two governorship elections in Anambra in 2017 and 2021, he led the PDP campaigns but APGA won landslide in both elections. By the way, in 2016, he visited and proposed that I defect to PDP and contest the 2017 election against the incumbent Willie Obiano, but I declined.

“After my victory in November 2021, he called to congratulate me, as I did to him in 2010. That is the Anambra way: we fight fiercely during campaigns but share drinks at the next social events. After all, it was the Great Zik of Africa, who taught us that in politics, there are no permanent friends or permanent enemies but only permanent interests.”

Arguing that Obi’s presidential bid would only work in favour of Tinubu, Soludo said, “Indeed, if I were Asiwaju Tinubu, I would even give Peter Obi money as someone heading one of the departments of his campaign, because Obi is making Tinubu’s pathway to victory much easier by indirectly pulling down PDP.”

Obi, according to Soludo, would only deplete the votes of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and pave the path for an APC victory.

He stated, “The current fleeting frenzy, if not checked, will cost Ndigbo dearly for years. The South-east has the lowest number of votes of any region, but it is also the only region where the presidential race might be a four-way race (it is a two-way race in the other five regions) thereby, ensuring that our votes won’t count in the making of the next president of Nigeria.

That's the reason for ndic taking over

Dumb bitter obi supporter dey talk abt economics but knows nothing about it
You're among the useless and illiterate Nigerians who claim to know...a foooool

IF NDIC pays just as percentage of depositor's fund, what do you think will happen?

Do you know what's called multiplier effect since you claim to be an economist though without sense? Maybe something like economies of scale...

If NDIC doesn't pay in full here like Obi advised, we will have an army of aggrieved depositors aside the inconvenience of not getting their funds at this trying moment; it will have a concomitant effect on other banking institutions as depositors will become weary knowing that in case of eventuality, his funds aren't guaranteed safe anymore despite all the noise of insurance cover by NDIC

Dont even know where to start responding to you. Normally the process for a distressed bank or a bank enveloped in fraud like situation is for NDIC to take over and begin liquidation process. The liquidation process entails settling customers, investors and creditors and any other relevant stakeholder. The news already reported the take over by NDIC, why did Obi raise another alarm as if due process was not followed. The implication of that unnecessary noise is that customers of other banks may feel that other banks have similar issues and when the financial institution is exposed to such confidence risk, it has very devastating impact on the economy. Obi was using reverse psychology to paint a dangerous narrative which is very unpatriotic and selfish of him.

Of course, gbajuẹ Peter Obi knows and is playing notice me politics to balablu his fans into confusion. That’s the hypocrisy of the gbajuẹ master.

He is even more dangerous than Fayemi who at least confessed years later that they played politics with our destiny in 2012 for subsidy protest.

“’I cannot take anything back about Obi. I said Obi said he wants to move Nigeria back from consumption to production and I said that is not true. He cannot do it because his own business survives on consumption. Is that a lie? He has been an importer and I said he deals with cash and carry economics; container economics, imports”.

“All the goods that can be produced in Nigeria, Obi imports them in his supermarkets. That is consumption economics. That kind of person cannot tell you that he is moving you from consumption to production. He will then be committing self-economic suicide and Obi will not do that to himself”.

“So, Obi is deceiving everybody and I can’t take that back because that is true.
