Some students got wind of it and told the then SUG president Victor Kolade Akinjo (Vakama) to lead protest there, they got to where OBJ dey and "gave him a stern warning" not to contest for presidency otherwise he will be in trouble, Some of the students took cane and said they wanted to flog OBJ or frog jump him, One claimed OBJ took his family land in Otta to do Otta farms. Different cruise buoyed by students hailing you, some say make he frog jump etc, while the VC was there embarrassed and looking on. Later the students left and hailed themselves for showing OBJ pepper the Ife way
