I don't blame any senator for earning such an amount. It's not as if we did not know that they would pay themselves so well when we elected them.

Lol. I actually don't care if you do. Bye
I very much care that you don't care. If people like you had bothered to use your pvc instead of thinking your vote doesn't count, perhaps we might now have a better leader and gari would be cheaper.

My hope is that there are fewer people like you and that most do make their pvc count instead of coming here to wail about gari.

Elubo. Elubo is around 1800 per paint whilesale price at my base

If not that Nigerians are not research minded, 200,000 Naira invested into cassava farming can provide a family of 5-8 with Garri, fufu and the likes for at least 4-7 months of daily consumption
200k😳
Apart from the land, which mostly can be gotten at zero cost, what exactly will gulp up to that?

Have you tried sawdust? It's free from the sawmill or 50 Naira per garawa depending on the wood quality.

Alternatively, grow your own cassava and make your own gari.
I like your sawdust sarcasm... Succinctly stated.

It’s simple if you’re not working for Government; increase your charge or selling price. If you have employees, increase their salary as well and live goes on.

It is well.
The way prices of foodstuffs are soaring is alarming.
On the average, N10,000 is not sufficient to feed a family of 5 three times daily anymore.
A modu of beans is now N2,500.
Price of a modu of rice is not jumping up and down.
Yam is now N3,000 per tuber.
Common pepper is being counted and sold 4 for N200.
A bunch of plantain is no go area.
Not foodstuff is cheap anymore.
I pity family that have up to 6 children.
This is not time for couples to have more than 3 children o.

Tinubu should open borders and flood the market with foodstuff from neighbouring countries.
Make Nigerians no come die of hunger.
Interesting submissions.

Sometimes ita better to put the location of where this prices exist.
A friend of mine asked inquired from a lady in Kwale-Delta State just some days ago and was told #2800 if he were to buy more than 2 custard rubbers but #3000 for just one custard measurement.
The OP is Ibo and lives in Aba based on his past posts I have read. It's pretty obvious that these high prices are subjectively fixed based on the greed glands of wholesalers and retailers in the major urban areas.

However, areas outside the major urban areas have cheaper prices of commodities and other items. The governments at all levels have to find ways of regulating these arbitrary prices and set up whistleblower phone lines to report any person that sells above standard retail prices while working in conjunction with market unions in each state of Nigeria.

Thats not the point, are you not gonna vote anybody?

The point is the citizens must protest for them to be placed on same salary scale as civil servants. Lets stop being docile!

If you're in Abuja, I can make/produce and send to you a very nice swallow ( an alternative to garri), you would even prefer it to garri sef. It consists of cassava flakes, maize and few other things. It'll be properly processed and turned into a nice swallow you would love.

If you're interested, give me a PM.
What's the price like?

You have said well.
But as to regulating the price of food stuffs the government should distance themselves from doing such except they would start to ascertain the quality as well.
Also if the government would intend to regulate food prices then they will also have to regulate the price of every other thing that people pay money for and there are no exceptions. Absolutely anything and everything.

You are very right. All we know is to blame the government for everything . Agreed that our government is bad ,must we also submit our lives totally to the hand of any government?

Why? Is it bad advice to grow your own cassava and make your own gari? I wasn't after all arguing, though I might just start now.

Guess you never had my poor mother and her 5 kids with bras to buy and school fees to pay. If you had, and didn't want to eat sawdust, I'm certain you'd see my advice as good.
Millions of people are living in the cities. Even some of those who are living in the semi rural areas don't have access to farmlands
