I said any govt that fully removes subsidy deserves a 3rd and 4th term. If Tinubu did not, then he does not deserve the 3rd term. 2nd term should be enough for him as he is just like others

raumdeuter:
Any govt who removes Subsidy deserves a 3rd term cos that is a ballsy move

Every candidate promises to remove it but the moment they are sworn in they develop amnesia

But a post subsidy Nigeria I dunno what it will look like sha

The coastal road has been planned for over 50yrs nd successive govt just side stepped it. Is that what came out of thin air?

Obi thinks the bridge that connect directly to his home state is crucial but the one connecting 7 coastal states is not crucial?
There are roads going to those 7 states already and coastal road would be a bonus… Now imagine a single lane bridge serving as route for vehicles going to the East and some Southern states.

How did he rig those places? The Guber results even matched the Presidential. Wike candidates won guber and Presidential. In Benue APC won both guber and presidential
Wike candidate grin grin grin grin grin

What party is that?

So as LP won all the SE states, it also meant that LP should win all the governorship in those states abi?

Well as per your questions, INEC said that he rigged Rivers and Benue. Go and verify and stop disrespecting our sensibilities on this thread.

I wonder where this idea of South Easterners and South Southerners hating Tinubu started from? Cause it certainly must have been before this election the way you guys are making it sound... utterly ridiculous. Raumdeuter even went as far as saying the South East would rather vote Buhari that called them a dot in whatever to than vote Tinubu.

This is why I would always give Iyin Aboyeji a pass and be biased in his favour, his crazy takes on Nigerian politics regardless.

This man has done and continues to do more for the Nigerian and African startup ecosystem than most of his most dedicated Twitter critics.

Through Future Africa and Accelerate Africa and the engagements on his timeline, this man is a movement on his own. He's not just talks and seminars, but actually doing it:

2nd Niger bridge is also a bonus, Before the construction, people were finding ways of reaching the east

Just as Obi called 2nd Niger bridge critical, thats the same way All SS governors called the coastal road critical, notable SS people like Ben Bruce, Donald Duke, Edwin Clark repeated the same

Did previous govts side step it or they felt it wasn't critical?

Side stepped or not critical?

Ok let's assume they side stepped it, is the road now critical for our development under this harsh economic situation? The worst in our history? Ok, how do you explain why it wasn't captured in the budget?

If INEC said he rigged Benue and Rivers they will cancel the votes from those states

Wike had a candidate and not from his party same way Makinde supported APC, Ortom supported LP

LP wnning showed in Abia where they won guber. Dem dey lucky for Anambra and Imo say guber election no dey the same time

I’m not even against it but 15trn…. Never knew we had that money grin
Trains or a power station would have been a better way to spend that money.

Will it be tolled like the second Niger bridge?

Facts only, we can deceive ourselves on pages on internet but we know the fact

SE hates APC and Tinubu, SS does not hate him specially and does not love him, they are mostly neutral about him. So no need combining them

The same way various govt side stepped and thought 2nd Niger bridge was not critical until Buhari did it and it became critical to Obi
Was economy not harsh under Buhari when he was building the bridge?
Let SS also enjoy their harsh economic situation infrastructure which will turn critical when its completed

You said they'd rather vote Buhari than vote Tinubu...what led you to that position? Gloriousgbola said I should drop what I'm smoking when I said that South Southerners could vote Tinubu over Atiku (a Northerner looking to take over from another Northerner), that's why I'm lumping both regions together?

Tinubu is a southerner, and in the build-up to these elections, there were several persons I know who swore by anything that a Northerner would never take over from another Northerner, for those people, Tinubu sold right, they'd have voted for him in a two-horse race. However, Obi coming into the picture gave those persons another option, but if it was a two-horse race, the dynamics would have been entirely different.

Maybe it's a case of certain persons convincing themselves that they're hated to justify any and everything else they choose to do, but I struggle to see how that's the reality of things.

How so? There are a lot of southerners that are completely opposed to a Northerner taking over from another Northerner...for those persons, if it's a two-horse race, North vs South, and they want to vote, how do you think they'd vote?

That is because the SE hate Tinubu specially way more than any region

SS will pick Atiku over Tinubu thats the truth. Atiku won Bayelsa and Akwa Ibom even with Obi in the picture. A state like Edo is PDP and has voted PDP in presidential elections consistently for 20yrs before 2023

Delta has a sitting governor on the ticket against Tinubu. I don't need to tell you what will happen

In a 2horse race Tinubu vs Atiku. SE Atiku wins all 5, SS might be 3-3 or 4-2 to Atiku

BlueRayDick:
The problem u are having is that u claim to be analyzing numbers and results of an election that would not have produced the same result under totally different situations. U are using the result of an election that had third and fourth force to analyze the probable result of an election that would've involved 2 horse race and sentiments and zoning would've swayed voters' choice.

It seems u already have ur mind made up on what u will accept as the conclusion; so there's no need dragging this further.
But he is not just analyzing after the fact. This is something some of us predicted.

A weak Obi showing, or an Obi withdrawal meant an Atiku victory. A strong Obi showing gave Tinubu his best chance. Someone even stated before the election that Tinubu's best chance was to secretly fund Obi's campaign.
