I am not against raise of Judiciary salaries. In fact, it is necessary so that they are not financially dependent on anyone that can lead to miscarriage of justice. Police should be paid well too and the current NLC fight for increment of minimum wages deserve all of our support - I mean a bag of rice is N80,000. I believe the timing of Judiciary salaries increment is just so right and will give impetus to NLC negotiation.

But the broader concern is the degeneracy in Nigeria’s economy and currency. A lot need to be done to rein in the dollar to Naira exchange. How can they grow reserve, reduce corruption and be more productive? I find it hard to consume that Benin Republic CFA is now higher than Naira. As a child I went there with some few hundreds of naira and I was a millionaire in Benin 😭
