Nice one

1004 apt style
Why is the news vague about the ownership of the estate?

Is it privately owned? Or a joint venture SPV with the government and private companies?

Or entirely government owned like the ones built by Marwa, Jakande, Mobolaji Johnson and Awolowo huh

to Sanwo Eko!
It leads other states in the non-provision of pipe borne water to every single building in the state.

How else does it lead our country of extreme poverty paupers and out of school children in global ignominy huh

Lawmaker scores Lagos Water Corporation low

A Lagos State lawmaker, Mr Saka Fafunmi, on Thursday expressed dissatisfaction at the performance of the state Water Corporation.

Fafunmi, a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly (LAHA), said in Ikeja that the corporation had not been able to justify statutory allocations to it.

The lawmaker, who represents Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency 1 at the assembly, spoke to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He said that the corporation had the capacity to generate much fund internally through water rates but had relied solely on government funding because of poor performance.

'' Anyone that is using water will be willing to pay for it; the corporation has not been giving us water.

"Is there any new community that Water Corporation has given water? People depend on boreholes; even government estates have industrial boreholes.

"Why do we keep pumping money into an agency that does not give us the desired results?'' he asked.

He noted that the Adiyan Waterworks was located at Ifako-Ijaiye, where many of the residents had resorted to digging boreholes as a means of getting water.

''A lot of people are falling sick because they don't drink clean water.

''In the same compound, where you have sewage, is where you have a borehole.

''There is no way you can manage the sewage that it will not leak and pollute the water; everyone drinking such is drinking contaminated water,'' he said.

The lawmaker urged the corporation to increase water reticulation and supply to residents.

Mr Sanwolu and his administration must be commended for moving Lagos more forward and building on the blueprint of his predecessors.
Sanwo didn't do jack! That particular project was built under Fashola, yes... I know it well cos I witnessed the project. It was built and almost finished under BRF and left uncommissioned for almost a decade.

Also, those pictures are highly doctored... Go to Igando/Egan and see how terrible the place looks. They literally doctored those pictures to make the place appear nice.

Kudos to Sanwo Eko! With the way Lagos has successfully elected top administrators for the past two decades is a marvel. Back to back to back, no lapse in performance of successive administrations. Sanwo is performing during his second term like he's a first timer looking for electorate votes. You could hardly spot any difference in his performance in the first and second term. Top echelon administrator!!! 🙌

Every blessed week, we have tons of good news coming from Lagos State, almost daily self, that it has now become the norm, without noise. Then we have some states commissioning 3km road out of the blue and their indigenes disturbing the cyber space for months with different camera angle of the said road.

Hahaaaaa.

Like the dolt below 👇, they will say "shebi Lagos earn trillions in revenue" to make others turn a blind eye to the rot, loot and underperformance in their home states. But what people like this forget is that Lagos State government officials can as well loot and leave the state to rot too. They will make you think it's luck or voodoo or federal favoritism that made Lagos move from height to heights for the past 30 years or so. Lagos could have as well decided to retrogress like the majority of states since 1999. If you can't produce a Ferrari with decades of revenue, citizens trust, and investments, at least produce a Toyota Camry. Some states can't even boast of producing a bicycle.

I mean we have states earning 13% derivative from crude sales but their state development is nothing to write home about. It's not even about party. There is Lagos, there's Kogi governed by the same party. Then we have Bayelsa, Delta governed by another party. Then there's Osun headed by a ballet dancer, in the same geopolitical zone ooo. There's another in the far north where an administrator calculated his constituency allocations, looked his people from head to toe and thought "na burial cloth and materials you people deserve because you dey die too much" 😂, in the same country.

Do you see where I'm going?

Lagos could have stuck with AD or ACN or SDP or KOWA and the performance would have been the same. Give Lagosians their flowers please! From Tinubu to Fashola to Ambode to Sanwo. You would think there's a factory that manufacture these people every election cycle with the same ingredients or production technology. The thing is for years to come, their governors will always strive to outdo the performance of the last governor or at least match in performance because no one wants to enter the history books as the first governor to derail Lagos progress since 1999.

This is the same Lagos Gbadebo and LP want to take over? Lol. I laugh!!!
God forbid Chinedu.

Sanwo Eko...carry go jor!!!!

Ambode started this project, after how many years in office young man is just commissioning it. I remember when he wanted to celebrate his 100days in office during his first term he went and repainted the housing estate in Ikotun and celebrated 100days with it.

He is good with PR but in reality Sanwo olu is the worse perseon to rule lagos

how you sat and wrote this long epistle without properly checking things out yourself is a marvel.
Lagos leading position has always been as a result of the efforts made by all .

Meanwhile , howfar with your own state ? A global well recognizd son of Kwara state once said on a global stage that anyone who claims to come Lagos state , has lost his family root and should trace where he is from

Mr. Ozommadu, kudos is enough.

While Lagos is generating huge funds, its population density, infrastructure, and other demands are equally high. Some states generating lesser funds have fewer populations, fewer workers on the payroll, and lesser infrastructure demands. I won't accept excuses from states that refuse to face reality.

Just a few days ago, I read about how much state governors spent in the last three months on refreshments and travels. I was surprised to see that Governor Adeleke of Osun State spent over 24 billion Naira. The same applies to other state governors, and yet you're here speaking emotionally.
