nairavsdollars:70k is for the lowest and there nobody under the federal government in that category which is level 1-3 . This means the lowest person under fg will be going home with 90-100k . And you can’t expect a person without school cert to earn like a bsc or even a phd holder . It’s not possible . A level 8 officer earns 100k currently that means with the new wage they will be earning 200k and some fractions |

PROPHETmichael:Honestly! Even increase of minimum wage to 150k with high fuel price wouldn't make any significant impact as compared to reducing fuel price. I don't know why the govt don't even want to consider fuel price reduction at all despite the disruption the increase has caused the economy. Not forgetting another inflation is coming with this minimum wage increase. It would have made more sense if labour & TUC had put this level of effort in the subsidy removal strike. |

EponObi:Whatever collapsed regional government happened for a good reason and there's no going back. Let the FG amend the laws and let every State be fully autonomous and be made to harness their resources, grow their economy and bring about meaningful infrastructural development as it suits their environment, culture, etc, etc. Those who share common boundary and others can pull up funds to have a common economic policy. In all let the States, remit to the FG as it was in the regional system of government or let a better way of sharing allocation be done based on what resources are within a State. Let the LGA operate also autonomous and should be given responsibility to do what the States are doing now. The LGA should remit to States as well. States should be given the powers to create more LGA for larger areas and for smaller areas RDA status for faster development. Persons who had previously held elective or political appointments in the old system should not be seen holding same in this new system. 1 Like 1 Share |

NLC should force #100k on the federal and state govts political office holders are wasting so much money on frivolities and luxuries so I don't understand why #100k minimum wage is difficult for them to pay an amount that can't even buy a bag of rice today. |
