It's better labour start grounding economic activities of any state that refuses to pay the minimum wage approved, only by then criminal governors in power will prioritize paying the minimum wage because they have the money to buy SUVs with billions of naira for judges to always rule on their favours. Corrupt folks that the stup!d masses fight for during election. God forbid me voting in any governor that can't pay its working the nothing to write home about minimum wage. |

But you see the people are traumatized and their brains have been conditioned for total control ... And so even in the face of absolute injustice we remain the happiest people on earth (mumus) |

Donaldoni:Ask yourself what was the minimum wage when 50kg bag of Rice was 8k? Labour Unions shouldn't accept any amount less than 150k as minimum wage with the economic realities on ground. • The FG and the sub-national government should set their priorities right. • They should cut the cost of governance across board and block all the many loopholes for corruption in the system. • They should address the issue of multiple taxation on businesses and make the business environment more conducive by addressing the pain points of many business concerns. • The FG should look seriously at the possibility of adjusting the national revenue sharing formula in favour of the Sub-national government. • 150k should be the irreducible minimum wage going by the economic realities on ground for any right thinking government. Labour Unions, if it would take another indefinite strike at the end of the 5 day window you gave the government, it's in order. 150k should remain the irreducible minimum from your team. |

Bobloco:it surely looks nice & commendable, but you should also note that his 8 years tenure will be elapsing in few months,Edo isn't the most bouyant (capacity) state in the country to quickly adopt 70k minimum wage. its more like setting a trap for the incoming gov. |

We can have a two wage system. The minimum wage can be agreed to be 70k while Labour can agree a minimum of N100k with FG. State and private sector can pay 70k while FG pays 100k. |

Many people don't know the implications of high minimum wages it will put the economy in hyper inflation, government will have little or nothing for infrastructure, education, health and other government exclusive duties....how many people are civil servant even those who are civil servant many of them are lazy, idle just sign seat and sign out let put pressure on reform not minimum wages. Let reduce government expenditure, cut salary of president,Senate, rep, chairman all political office holder and fight for good government that priorities citizen welfare not minimum 3 palaba |

When all the governors unanimously agreed that subsidy should be removed, did they not know that there are responsibilities that are accompany the removal? The issue is simple, any governor that failed to pay should give up their sits and trow it open for any opposition party that could pay, because minimum wage is constitutional matter, and failure to abide by constitution implies that they are not worthy to be there. When our law stipulated how much to them, judges, senate and House of rep including state legislators, no governor complaint that they can pay either the themselves, the judges in their state and house members in their state, but when it comes to poor masses, then there is no money to pay. Recently, it has been observed that governor are real cabal in this country, they dictate to president, Senate and House of Rep. Because coming into office of other political office holder depend on their support in their individual states. NLC and TUC should make sure that they lead the negotiation for workers in each state, because local branches have been completely captured by the governors, if Edo is paying 70 thousand, no state can be exempted. The recent video on social media revealed that most of politicians that are rich in this country are mostly governors both past and present, we see one of them yeye bello running up and on 84 billion corruption allegation, if they don't have money, how possible that a person will eat such amount. |

Allardyce:So you don't know the meaning of NGF. It's simply Nigeria governors forum and that means all governors agreed. Some state are still paying 18k for minimum wage. I was shocked when some civil servant protested in Abia of still receiving 18k. It is also in some state. Why blaming the FG |
