Katsina Civil Servants Receive N45,000 Financial Aid Ahead Of Sallah by ManirBK(op): 8:01pm On Jun 08, 2024
Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda has announced a special N45,000 Sallah support package for Civil Servants in the state ahead of the upcoming Eid-l-Kabir celebrations.

This initiative aims to alleviate the financial burden on employees under the State Unified Local Government Service and Local Education Authorities during the festive period.

According to a statement released by Governor Radda’s Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, the N45,000 package is divided into two parts:

A N30,000 Loan/Advance to be conveniently repaid over three months (July, August, and September) with a manageable monthly instalment of N10,000.

The second part is a N15,000 Sallah Package gifted to each of the state’s civil servants to allow them celebrate Eid-l-Kabir without financial constraints.

Malam Falalu Bawale, the Katsina State Head of Service, applauded the Governor’s thoughtful gesture. He stated that the financial assistance “will undoubtedly bring relief to numerous households, enabling them to fully celebrate the joyous occasion of Eid.”

Why give somone loan he didn't ask for. Although it id a good initiative, what if the 10k monthly deduction will be injurious to some peoples income

I will rather that he give the money to workers on workers day or at the end of the year rather than to celebrate sallah. They are stylishly using state resources to fund for sallah the same way governments are using state resources to fund pilgrimage to mecca and jerusalem.

good point but for those that doesn't need it they can leave it in there account so that for everymonth salary that show the 10k deduction is already in the waiting for the deduction either from salary or account grin
But I can assure u many are in need of such an amount even at ridiculous interest rate and in this case I think it's zero interest

Tax ripped from struggling hungry nigerians, use for jamboree, both the religion leaders and those that collected and refused to return it back to the poor, will definitely smell hell
It should been channelled into the economy for job creation

Why give people loan for a religious ceremony? Forcing loans on everyone so they can loot the repayments in three months time. If you know you know

These people are creatively corrupt.

Can someone help to bring to the front burner the states that have not been paying the 30k minimum wage. We really need to shame those governors.

I don't think this issue should be taken far like this.
Go to akwa ibom a major christain state using to an extent state cash to build basalica.we are just trapped in religion in Nigeria and it seems both christain and Muslims love all this type of gesture from politician or govt as the case may be.
