I dont know the situation that led to the extra time being extended beyond the added time but it happens often especially when one team was time wasting or something happen that wasted time. It happens in all leagues.

First Russia does not have manpower problem that's why they're still relying on the partial mobilization since 2022. It's a Special Military Operations for Russia. They did not declare war against Ukraine. So why disturb your troops when you can buy others to do the fighting for you. The main guys are waiting for NATO TikTok soldiers. People who go about shouting that Russia is a poor country will hide their head in shame.

2ndly, Ukraine already reduced the constitutional military age for conscription from 27 to 25. E go still come down to 23...then to 18. Na just matter of when?

You don't mobilise average Joe for an aggressive war that you initiated, and yet Russia has been mobilising through the backdoor.

In a modern war you first conscript the older guys if you have a demographic problem which Ukraine has. Ukraine have more older men than young when compared to a well demographic country. When 18 year olds starts getting "drafted" or "conscripted" then know that Ukraine is bleeped beyond repair for the next 2 decades at least if they ever recover. That's because you need those 18yos to have sex with the females and give birth to children who will hold the future of the country. If the 18yos die off in battle then such a country will be deepfucked demographically for the foreseeable future.

Also imagine you're an 18yo that lives with his 55 yo father and 50 yo mother and thieves come to your house. Who do you think will first confront the thieves and encourage the others to hide? The 55yo father or a teenage you?

18 is the draft age of most countries in the world, including Russia. In USA, the legal draft age is 17. In UK it is 18. In China it is 18. All major wars are characterised by calling up of men from the age of 18.

This is the norm.

So it simply stands to reason that a country under attack like Ukraine will not call up grandpa who is 60+ without first exhausting it's draft capacity of 18-24 year olds. I'm not saying Ukraine doesn't have manpower problem. They do. But e never reach to draft 60 year olds while 18 to 24 year olds are still playing Playstation at home.

Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has insisted that the ban on Okaighele (community youth leaders) activities in seven local governments in Edo South Senatorial district is still in force.

Recall that the Oba of Benin Palace had on June 7, 2024, kicked against the action of the Edo State Government.

While addressing the Okaigheles who protested to Palace, Chief Osaro Idah, the Obazelu of Benin, who spoke on behalf of the monarch, had said Okaighele is not something that can be banned by fiat as they belong to the Benin ancestors.

According to the Palace, Okaighele represents a segment of the aged-long Benin traditional administrative structure.


“Okaighele didn’t start in this Century. As you have age grades, and senior sons, so we have them. When Odionwere (village head) is appointed by the Oba, Okaighele assist the Odionwere in the daily administration of the domain on daily basis.”

But reacting to the Palace’s comments, the Edo government said Okaighele and cultists pose the most severe threat to the security and stability of the state.

The Commissioner for Orientation and Communication, Chris Nehikhare, who spoke on behalf of the government said Okaighele’s was made in the interest of public safety.

He described the development as a move to curb the alarming rise in cult-related activities.

“The Edo State Security Council data has shown that these two groups (Okaigheles and cultists) pose the most severe threat to the security and stability of the State, resulting in the decision of the Council to place a total ban on the criminal groups”.

“While we respect the tradition and customs of our communities, it is important to note that the safety and security of our citizens must always come first”.

“Chief Osaro Idah, Obazalu of Benin’s contradictory statement does not change the gravity of the situation at hand, and we stand by our decision to enforce this ban on Okaigheles to protect the lives of our people.”

He warned that government would not allow any individual or organization no matter now highly placed to undermine the efforts of the State Security Council to protect the lives and property.

“We reiterate that the activities of cultists, Okaigheles and their sponsors remain banned in the State and we will spare no effort to ensure that those who flout the ban are made to face the full weight of the Law,” he said

Way to miss my point entirely. I said Ukraine has a huge demographic problem so if they start sending kids to the front who will be responsible for repopulation of the country they're bleeped. Here you are mentioning countries that don't have that issue or at least not on the same scale to counter that. Google "Ukraine demographic issues" to see it has been a huge issue since the early 90s. South Korea is also facing the same issues with low birth rates which meant they are looking to half the population after a period of time if the trend is not reversed. So if North Korea declares war on South tomorrow you'd be damn sure those teenagers would be called much later than the 60year olds. Funny how Ukraine has martial law and 18-60 year old men aren't allowed to leave the country, what were those 60 year olds told not to leave for? You're the one who jumped into my conversation without understanding what I'm discussing. I simply that before pensioners are drafted, the law will be revised to extend the draft age downwards rather than upwards.

What is difficult or rocket science about that?

You have shown the draft age revising downward from 27 to 25. Can you show me where it was revised upwards? And if the conscription net is to be widened further, what do you think is more likely - that conscription age is lowered to catch the 18-24 year old demographic, or revised upward to catch the pensioner demographic?
