When the aged keeps lieing it tells a lot and the intention is not far fetched. The say "Ijaws" is truth but many a times whatever comes out from the mouth of the Ijaw man has always been lies upon lies.
Many of us do not give in to ill gotten sentiments. Those who know what and how Wike became governor of Rivers State will not fall for such stories. It's a pity that those who are referred to as elders and states' men no longer exhibit such in righteousness given their gray(golden) hairs.

Anyone who knew what transpired between the Jonathan's/Patience's and Amaechi and what led to Wike emerging as a governorship aspirant when he made it known as at that time "There is no PDP in Rivers State".
Where were the Ijaws and what was their role in the politics of the State?
Amaechi, Wike, Magnus, Dakuku and a few others were the frontals of Rivers State PDP. The fallout of Amaechi with Patience's/GEJ made Amaechi and those who were loyal to him and understood the nonsense that the Ijaw pride could not settle that made them lose the Presidential election. So Wike took up the leadership of the PDP that had no one to walk the path and do the talk.
If Clark is saying that Wike was forced on the Ijaws, let him say the name(s) of the Ijaws that could withstand going against Amaechi at that time. Or is he referring to those Ijaws who were waiting for handouts and silver spoon?

As far Rivers State politics is concerned there are only a few persons who can walk the talk and Magnus Abe who bas been walking on a lone rangers path have joined them and put the past behind to forge the future.

Dame Patience Jonathan installed Wike as the Governor with the silence and lackadaisical attitude of the purported erudite leader, the youngest so far to occupy the position of president of Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Jonathan gave me a lifeline as an entrepreneur and I'm appreciative but he messed up being a weak leader.

U are right. Ameachi never instigated or initiated the fallout.

Firstly, presidency touched the sovereign funds behind the back of the Governor's forum twice.

Then amaechi as their head led other Governors to demand for their shares.

Okonjo started preaching about saving for rainy day.

On the other side of Jonathan was his wife who picked up a power tussle fight against amaechi (one on one) to win the heart&soul of Rivers state.

She bullied him on several instances. All these while he was still in Pdp.

When it became obvious he had been defeated on both sides of his portfolios, he tagged along other rebelling Governors to merge with CPC and AC.


Patience was the cause of her husband's loss.

Yes efforts are being made including Fubara to turn this into ethnic rancour including visiting some Ijaw leaders. We true Rivers sons are also letting insiders and outsiders know that ethnicity doesn't matter in Rivers State politics. It is a game of interest. Chijioke Ihunwo is ikwerre he is with Sim. Sekibo is Ijaw he is with Wike. It is not ethnicity though Sim is doing everything to paint it so.

A nobody? U think they would bring a nobody to intimidate Amaechi? Edwin Clark is not being honest here as he has allowed ethnicity to control him because that is the only thing that will make him appear relevant in the affairs of Rivers State. The same Clark that publicly dissed Jonathan immediately Buhari took over that made many Ijaws not to take him seriously anymore.

Why couldn’t the Ijaw candidates at that time come out openly to fight Amaechi in Support of Jonathan? The Jonathans needed someone that could hold the State for them against Amaechi and APC, the reason they aligned with Wike. Truly, it was to be a coronation for Odein Ajumogobia in PDP but he didn’t have grassroot reach.

Infact, in one of the meetings which Clark himself attended, Ajumogobia didn’t even know the name of his Ward chairman when asked. Apart from that, many of the Ijaw politicians were sabotaging efforts to clip Amaechi’s wings. Even when the Ikwerre members of the State House of Assembly and elders had agreed to impeach Amaechi because of Jonathan, it was still some Ijaw that were competing among themselves, to reveal the plans to Amaechi, hoping he will make them governor.

The way I see it now, it is people like Clark that are misleading Fubara. Some of us are totally against godfatherism in the State but in fairness to Wike, Fubara started an unnecessary fight and just too early, that suggests that his aim was the political annihilation of those that staked their careers to make him governor.

Fubara couldn’t even win a ward election by himself but within two months of becoming governor, his priority was to sack all the LGA chairmen and install his loyalists because ‘he wants to build HIS OWN structure’ . Now why the desperation to build your own structure instead of working with the people that were in the trenches for you? He was asked to at least wait till the end of their tenure and then conduct an election as it normally should be, but he refused. Why do you think the LGA chairmen and most elected officials are in Wike’s camp devoid of ethnicity?

Now their tenure is coming to an end and he doesn’t want to conduct an election because to him, he has to appoint caretakers as a way of building his structure. Why the desperation to build your own structure? You build structure over time not wake up thinking you can just displace people that brought you on board.

It is now clear that it is people like Clark that are misleading Fubara and it’s really unfortunate. He’s writing this letter having realised that majority of the Ijaws both in Rivers and Bayelsa are not buying into his push to turn the issue into an ethnic one.

Despite Wike failure or Wickness.

I must tell Papa Clark one candid truth.

The ijaws are not good in political leadership.

They lack intelligence and modern way of governing states.

They encourage crude oil bunkering and that is one of the primary reasons their ijaw people want them to rule.

So that they can have the freedom to do oil bunkering.

In Delta state for example, look at Mr Emomotimi Guwor the Speaker of the Delta state House of Assembly.

He is an ijaw man but he has not perform as a political leader.

To even coal tar the street he lives in the NPA Expressway he blindly turn his face the other way.

But Mr Emomotimi Guwor prefer to kill cow monthly in his Ekpan residences and eat with his political friends and do barbecue suya.

There are no Ijaws in Rivers State. Edwin Clark is from Delta, Jonathan is from Bayelsa and he isnt even Ijaw. Patience is from Okirika and Okirika is not Ijaw.

All the Ijaw has been pushed into Bayelsa state.
