It is very much viable.
The minorities always wanted Delta to themselves.
Infact the creation of Delta state with Anioma in it was a mistake.
The Anioma was agitating for a separate state then as well as Minorities who were agitating for Delta state.
IBB decided he cannot create two states out of old Bendel state.
So he retained the name Delta state that Minorities were agitating for, killed the Anioma state that Western Igbo was agitating for, but compensated the Ibos with state capital, while minorities who Championed Delta state of minorities only with capital at Warri were left dry and bitter over Asaba state capital status.

Warri will make a good state capital.
The Itsekiri, Ijaw, Urhobo and Isoko should either learn to live in peace with each other or finish each other off, it should not be Igbo and Anioma issue.
All we want is to have our Igbo speaking groups back reunited with us.

Anioma state is the most logical option for Ndiigbo, not your Orlu state.
Orlu state doesn't do anything for Ndiigbo. Nada! Same old divisions.

You want Orlu state, but Nsukka want Adada state since ancient days, everyone wants to keep dividing this SE more when we should be working to reunite our people outside SE back to SE so that we all can benefit from the strength that comes from unity and numbers.

With Ned Nwoko supporting Anioma and zoning of Anioma to SE, consider your Orlu state creation agenda dead for now.
All reasonable Igbos including Orlu sons and daughters will support Anioma state.

It must be noted that the clamour for reunification of Anioma known as Western Ibo in the past started in 1939 and not today.

The backlash that came with Ibo tag post civil war as demonstrated in Asaba massacre made many of our Western Ibos take a tactical cover from Ibo tag to save their lands from minority neighbours all around them and from FG persecution.
It's been over 50yrs post civil war, alot have changed, Igbos are not longer a weak group, we have recovered all we lost and are now standing strong again.
Our Western Igbo brothers now know it's time to come back home.

Is Anioma disunited from Igbo?
Anioma is part of Igbo land, united with Igbos but only separated by the Niger River.
Any reasonable Igbo would like continued Igbo connection to the SS zone, not disconnected by mere pronouncement of Igbos in the Anioma are now in the SE zone. I am not against the agitation of Anioma people for a separate state but the idea of making proposed Anioma State part of the SE zone is not to the interest of either the Igbos or to the Aniomas. Even most reasonable Anioma people will object to being part of the SE zone for pecuniary reasons. Put on your thinking cap and stop writing out of sentiments.

The SE Senate and house of representatives should now have a consultation meeting with those in Delta North including Igbanke, to work on actualising this noble plan.
Ohaneze Ndiigbo should be the ones to anchor this meeting and make it happen.
The Orlu state agenda is good, but bringing Anioma back home( reunited with kin and kiths in SE) where they belong, and allowing the minorities to move capital of the remnants of Delta state to Warri, is a
win-win situation for all involved.

Anioma is rich in crude oil and gas. Asaba is merging with Onitsha to form a mega metropolis.
The state is brimming with human and natural resources and is very much viable.

Ndiigbo let's push and make this happen!

As an Anioma indigene, my dream has always been to join my kins in the south east.

The ekwumeku resistance was the beginning of the Balkanization of igbo land. The British added us to the then western region because the guerrilla warriors were traveling across the Niger to hide from the colonial British after they attack.

They British knew fully well that we are Igbos because they themselves added us to the 1903 map of Igboland.

That said any Anioma person that believes that they are Edo is free to travel there and live.

No inch of Igboland will go to outsiders.
