I'd be relocating to the UK on a Skilled worker visa soon and it's my first time I would be in airport or enter a plane.
What advice would you have for me please?
Also, I don't mind inputs about acceptable and none acceptable items to board with.

Na God dey am......DONT HELP ANYBODY CARRY ANYTHING TO UK NOT EVEN BIRO (PEN) SOME PEOPLE ARE JUST TOO WICKED!! keep your eyes on ur locked bags at all times (I know you will not have more than two small bags but just wait for your home coming) be careful of friendly people at the airport.

Basically, you will figure things out at the airport if you get there on time and accompanied by someone.
Just to re-emphasize, ensure your bags are locked with padlocks and do not help anyone with anything. Put yourself first in your journey. People will ask you for money as they could spot a first time traveller. Just keep a neutral facial outlook. Still, if you are asked to settle for some things such as items in your bag but you don't want to or have anything to give them, just say you are sorry that you have dropped all cash on you before coming in.
About the flight experience, you will be fine irrespective of travelling for the first time.

My own advice is, after you successfully escape, try everything possible not to get involve in things that would warrant you being thrown back here...

I meant that you should wear joggers instead. Passing through security requires taking off belts, shoes and watches. Bringing out laptops and tabs, to me this is the most stress part of traveling.

Don’t check-in your laptop o. Also don’t put perfumes and liquids exceeding 100ml in carry-on.
