Scholl goes well with this wrapper. August meeting things where they always come back with cabin biscuit, groundnut and party rice and well fried and dry meat then wrapped with nylon then covered with handkerchief, then stucked in a well zipped leader handbag. God bless all mothers.

If you grew up in the 70s, 80s and the early 90s, you surely have a story to tell about your mum having this footwear. Our mothers didn't joke with it as it was a 'must have' for 70s and 80s Nigerian mums. Fondest memories.

Abeg share your stories joor!!!
I think it was called Score back then. My momsie rocked this shoe wella, that year.

I'm a 90's baby and I definitely remember my
late mom had this shoes (two pairs)...
It's been 20 years since she left but I still miss her dearly.
Condolences! A mother's death is always painful to the heart - that's why I don't play with my parents - especially my Mum! I love her so much, because she sacrificed a lot for me when I was a kid - She's my African Queen!

Can't women describe color in clear term..
Which one is mango green, popkin white..
I bet, 80% of men that read your comment can picture/bring what maroon color is in their head.
Okay okay. Maroon is what you'd call wine color.

That maroon color was the standard 😀😀

PS - maroon color scholl + the attached back-of-fish wrapper is the complete combo.

Yes they were called Scholls or Skulls. I can relate it better. They come in Navy-Blue, Black, Cream, Dark-Red or Maroon etc. l was gifted the Cream Colour plus a Wrist-Watch by my Cousin who was 3 years ahead of me in the Federal Colleges. He graduated in 1977 (After The FESTAC Festival). We were both in Federal Colleges. He was in Sokoto while l was in Port-Harcout (Abuloma Village, Home of Beauties Celebrities. Who remembers Agbeni Darego Beauty Queen and a Miss World 2001 and Judith Rotimi Amaechi?) l passed out from the College in 1980. I didn't get the message of the gifts by then. But later, Luckily and Fortunately we became a Couple (1981) - 43 years ago both as a Happy, Loving and Caring Husband and Wife. Joyfully and Happily, we are blessed with 7 Children {4 Men & 3 Ladies, Aged 42 - 22}. Some of the children too gave us 8 Grand Children, for now and counting. Our last born is now in her 400 Level and Final Semester. All to Almighty God be the glory (Mashaa Allah and Alhamdulillah). To us family marriage is one of the best Union and a blessing, which is an opportunity that should not be missed!
