I beg to differ, they have not even scratched the surface of mega wealth potential, Dangote's goal is possibly to be at par with ARAMCO (long way to go, but it is not going to be acheived by p-footing, but by taking the opportunity as it comes and run with it all the way). This is a neglected bloc on the community of nations,The caricom bloc need the produce and can pay for it , it only make sense for the team to push to gain more market share.

That is a strategically brilliant business move. The ability to rapidly move into new markets like the Bahamas Islands and the larger Caribbean with lower prices of fuel is key here in order to earn huge returns on investments.

Guyana also recently discovered more oil and gas reserves in addition to what Trinidad and Tobago has, therefore the Caribbean is up for some great time in terms of refined oil production.

When petrol sold for cheaper rate..are you aware that it was subsidized.. so now that Tinubu removed the subsidies...he should still sell at the same rate.

Are you even aware that the benefits of that refinery is that there will be quality fuel for Nigerians, more jobs for Nigerians and huge fx that should have gone into import will be saved...did Dangote ever promise you prices will fall significantly? With exchange rate of nearly 1500?

At what rate was Dangote given FX, even foreign speculators were shocked that one man was given almost 10% of Nigerians FX at the time. He was given FX then far less than N500 then. But what has changed absolutely nothing. FX trippled, fuel prices more than doubled (these players are still looking for ways to raise prices as i write this)

No, he hasn't. What this Caribbean entry simply means is that the EXCESS refined fuel and other petrochemical products of the Dangote Petrochemical Refinery will be sold abroad to earn FX after the Nigerian market's average daily to average monthly demands have been met. When Bua Petrochemical Refinery in Akwa Ibom State also starts, the same sequence of exporting refined petroleum products to earn FX after the local daily demand has been met would take place.

As it stands today, Algeria and Libya are the ONLY African countries that don't import fuel because they have working refineries that regularly undergo Turn Around Maintenance (TAM).

This is exactly what happened back in the 1970s to the late 1980s when all of Nigeria's Petrochemical Refineries worked optimally with regular TAM. Nigeria exported the excess refined crude oil products abroad to earn FX after the daily average fuel consumption had been met.

You can ALSO read this recent article below from Aliko Dangote indicating that there will be NO more importation of PMS from June, (although it has been shifted a few days ago to July 2024 because they have almost finished installing an advanced technological component that would ensure that optimum PMS is produced).
