Teach us to number our days says the Psalmist.
Human Life, just born to hustle, grow old if lucky and die.

“Hustle and marry early…so you grow with your kids”…

“Get money early so you enjoy your old age”

“Enjoy your single-hood before marriage”.

“If you marry at 35, your first born will be in secondary school while in your sixties”

All these are cliches men created to make themselves feel comfortable and look wise…but ignoring that human existence is a subset of a grand scheme.

Just live, love and be happy…. When it’s time, the soul connects to its source.
one day at a time.... live each day to the fullest like itz your last

there is nothing like village people. He probably had underlying health issues. Village people not get una time hunger and fulani herdmen dey worry them
In addendum, dude may not have valued rest. He could be working overtime. What Nigerians also don't understand is over excitement can kill especially if the person has underlying sickness. My uncle died upon hearing his only son just had a twin. He was so excited he died. Now will we say is village people or that the man was wicked given that, this is his only son who gave birth to twin boys.

Death isn't a function of time, age, race, gender, or career achievements. It can happen to anyone at anytime.

But this is not so for a believer who understands his authority in Christ. A believer who knows his authority knows that he has power over death and other principalities.

Ephesians 1:21-23 is a pretty good place to ruminate on.

I pray his family gets the comfort that they need in this season.
So believers don't die? I don't see this kind of post when pastors die, only when people of unknown religion die

After reading this post and saying the usual rest in peace, some people in this Nairaland will immediately return to their job of teaching a section of their "fellow country man" a lesson for daring to say their mind on how the country called NIGERIA should be run. We never learn any lessons that life on this earth is just a transit. Rest in Peace bro.

If na your time, na your time...presence or absence of world class healthcare ain't gonna stop the inevitable.

Two years ago, a friend in the US also had a cardiac arrest, at 35. Had to get a pacemaker after a very close call, as he said he was told he was defibrillated 36 times. Lucky for him, it wasn't his time.
If your friend was in Eti Osa or Bariga, he'd be dead.
It'll definitely be "his time" to go.

This is a strange culture that has crept into our society. There are a lot of reasons why you do not post details about your wins and successes on the internet.

While trying not to be spiritual, many people have faced attacks from such announcements. While a lot of lizards crawl on their belly, you can hardly detect the one with a tommy ache...
Lol. Love that Yoruba proverb you put as the last sentence. I guffawed first time I heard it.

The LinkedIn bragging is sickening and it's a global thing.

I had to create a basic profile because a UN agency interviewed me seriously at a point ( I got it) their HR came to check me out.

But you know, my profile is 2 posts behind. And I never announce every rise. I often update my profile as soon as I exit that position. Or maybe 3 - 4 years after.

Our people that are just arriving into the UK are so lousy. Any little achievements, they will just put it into social media. They are always showing off all the time. They should realize that their colleagues in Nigeria are not sleeping. The other time one mayor in London visited Nigeria ambassador to the UK to caution them on their show off and despite that , they still continue to make noise. Anyway RIP to the dead and lesson to the living.

This sounds suspiciously like a village people stuff shocked

I have a strong dislike for announcements on LinkedIn. It sounds a lot like bragging most times. undecided

Those who post claim they are using it to motivate though...not show off.
