Two years ago, a friend in the US also had a cardiac arrest, at 35. Had to get a pacemaker after a very close call, as he said he was told he was defibrillated 36 times. Lucky for him, it wasn't his time.

I have a strong dislike for announcements on LinkedIn. It sounds a lot like bragging most times.

Those who post claim they are using it to motivate though...not show off.

The LinkedIn bragging is sickening and it's a global thing.

I had to create a basic profile because World Food Prorgamme interviewed me seriously at a point ( I got it) their HR came to check me out.

But you know, my profile is 2 posts behind. And I never announce every rise. I often update my profile as soon as I exit that position. Or maybe 3 - 4 years after.
