I am RHESUS-
My husband is A+ and I am B-
We have 3 healthy children and expecting the 4th. My first and second babies were both negative so I wasn't administered Rhogam. The third came out rh positive so I was given Rhogam. My fourth is on the way, I've done my coombs test and no antibodies were detected. All u need is to be informed and attend ur antenatal in a good hospital and all will be fine. Also RH negative girls should stop early abortions cos u don't know which child is rh + or -.

Nairaland is a great website for dessemination of information. Just coz you don't understand the post should not mean you should rubbish it. This is not a political discussion where anything goes. I'm Rh- & a Registered Nurse in the USA. My mother was the only surviving child of her mother despite several pregnancies. Many women are aware of this Rh factor coz hospitals in Nigeria teach them all these things among others during ante natal. I think this post would create further awareness for our people & many would either make further enquiry or research into it. My daughter is Rh- & her mother has been drumming it into her ears since she was in elementary school. Awareness is the key. Therefore we shouldn't trivialize everything online. Knowledge could be acquired anywhere.

That is the result of copying a great article online then you add your own idea based on how you understand it whereas science is never like that.

Abiku is most generally attributed with sickle cell gene disorder and several other moderately fatal genetic and infant diseases that are fatal but still allows the foetus to be born. There is the sudden infant death syndrome disease too.

The Rh Factor is derived from the Rhesus monkey. I thought it's a racial stuff associated with Neanderthal genetic builds.

I did a little research and found out that Rhesus factor has nothing to do with the Aussie Rhesus but Rhesus monkeys which contributed greatly to the appreciation of the importance of nonhuman primates in research.

It has no effect. The father is the determining factor here.


If a RH+ woman marries a RH- man, there would be no health complications.

The only conclusion I came up with after reading this article is that unprotected sex is truly a form of DNA imprinting for women.

Women are REALLY NOT BUILT TO CHEAT biologically.

In such a case, nothing really happens. The + or - on the Rh simply connotes that the antigen is present (+) or absent (-). So in the case you cited where the man is negative, meaning that the antigen is absent, that means that nothing new (foreign) enters the woman's body, so there's no issues.

In fact, once a woman is Rh+, she's safe with pregnancy with either Rh+ or Rh- man at any point in her life. I hope you find this helpful

To the best of my knowledge, barring any other health/reproductive challenges, she can always take in after the first Rh+ child and sensitization. The problem however lies in carrying the subsequent Rh+ pregnancy to term successfully and birthing the child. The pregnancy gets attacked and she loses it to a miscarriage

The solution is knowing your RH factor and that of your partners but if you're RH+, you don't need to worry yourself about whichever one your partner has. Another solution is the early medication the op is talking about

My cousin lost her subsequent babies twice back then early 2000s, not knowing there was an error in her blood grouping it was done again and it was realized she was B- she has only one child till date, he graduated from the uni and has finished serving.

I think the damage had already been done before they realized the real blood group.
