Empty lazy brains running the system.
When I heard Tinubu say the doobalę thing, denying falling so woefully in the face of millions world-wide who watched the show of shame, it didn't come as a surprise. That's how he's been lying over everything. I just pity those following this man. He's a bad example in the society

The Naira has stabilised at less than NGN1,500.

It is currently NGN1,476 on BYBIT.
You're quoting a crypto exchange platform. I thought you guys said they are the cause of the crash in naira?

Then, that's just one platform have you checked others? For your information it's 1500 and a little over 1500 on some platforms.

Then the difference between 1500 and 1476 is just N24. Is that significant enough to call the op a pig?

This piece of news is trashy. When both cvalue and purchasing power of Naira is restored to where Tinubu met it, we could then have this conversation.

I am beginning to suspect the real value of the Naira today sits between 1,500-1,700 to a dollar based on present fundamentals.

This isn't necessarily a bad thing. The country needs to reinvent itself. The days of Nigeria living off crude oil for the bulk of its budget and forex has to change, and this can happen if Tinubu lets it. Already, non-oil exports are beginning to rise. I have this sneaky feeling Tinubu is standing in Cardoso's way. Wale Edun hasn't impressed me much.

The changes on ground aren't radical enough. For instance, company tax still sits at 30% which is just ridiculous considering the average in the OECD is around 25%. America's is 21%. It should be nothing more than 15% in the country.

A lower company tax would also encourage corporate bodies to enter the formal economy, making them more productive and beneficial to the economy, not to talk of tax revenues which would jump through the roof.

You only recon NAFEX and NAFEM but you quoted BYBIT.

Something must be wrong with you.

Put a frog in a pot of cold water on the fire. The frog will not jump out because the water will heat up gradually. Drop the same frog in a pot of hot water and it will at least try to jump out.

Likewise, when depreciate naira from 100 to 200 to 500, to 1000 and to, now, 1500, nobody does anything but lament. At this rate, in 2 years, naira by naira, 1 Dollar will be 3000 or 4000 Naira and nobody will still do anything. But if the dollar gets to 4000 overnight, you will see at least some response. Or, would you?
