If Muslim leaders in this country especially the north can emulate even a bit of what CAN did in this situation Nigeria would not be where we are today, they always show support for violence against Christians by keeping mute. Or pretend to condemn the acts when outcry is too much but never ever take any action to stop it or even minimize it.

Well done CAN for showing the world that Christianity is not a violent religion and any Christian or Church that acts in such manners are not just condemned, reprimanded but punished.

Take Deborah's case in Sokoto for Example, or even the case of an Igbo elderly woman that was beheaded in kano few years ago, just because she complained that her aboki neighbour use to leave his own shop, and then come directly to her shop to do ablution, there by messing up the entrance of her shop.

CAN has demonstrated what is meant by "religious tolerance" by sanctioning the erring pastor irrespective of whose ox is gored.



It shows how religious adherents
should comport themselves and practice their individual religions within the ambit of the law.




If the reverse had been the case, religious bodies such as the Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs (SCIA) and
the Muslim Right Concern (MURIC) would have simply turned a blind eye or characteristically justify this horrendous act.



Religion shouldn't be a license or weapon of attacking perceived religious enemies but rather be a means of correcting the ills of society.

This is a welcome reaction from both religious family (MURIC & CAN).

I think our Governments should also emulate them for using a good amicable resolution and make it goes viral on newspapers page just like how they are used to show a quick reactions which they usually paid to buy pages of newspapers to to Condemned a similar attacks that happened in the past on newspapers.
