Government need to do something to stop all this increments in rents. It's unfair in a country like Nigeria. Our fathers had it easier. Many were able to purchase properties easily but youths of today find it difficult to rent. Imagine someone working at VI, rent for a self con is 1 or 2M per annum, and for mini flat rent may be 3M or 4M, the person has to move to the mainland or after the island such as lakowe or Awoyaya etc.... how will such a person save money? Government should do something please... At least for the citizens... The occultic spell placed on Nigerians by the politicians, must be broken in Jesus name |

I have 12 individual rooms in Abuja that my dad left for me to manage. Before I assumed a management position, the rent was 120k per annum. Just last week, my immediate younger sibling suggested I increase the rent by at least 50% judging by the economic realities on the ground. I thought the hardship should elicit some level of compassion and consideration. Instead of increasing it by 50%, I reduced the rent to 75k annually. I can't be a Nebuchadnezzar |

helinues:You mean they should move back to go live with their parents?🤷♂️... that is a case of 'ti iwaju o ba se e lo eyin a se e pada si'. You are very right, we should all just go back to our parents or family houses so we dont pay rent. As for me and my household we are moving back to ogbomosho as soon as my rent is due. |

helinues:You’re unredeemable at this point, just imagine what is coming out of a brain that has undergone various forms of progressive evolution. So people with families should run back to their parents house just because a clueless government with terrible policies are destroying their chances of getting a decent home?? If na so e be right from time, will they be a parent to run back to? Guy try Dey reason before you talk, na old age you Dey approach like this, how long would you defend incompetence with a hint of wickedness? |

This isn't Tinubu\Buhari handwork, Landlords are the biggest beneficiaries of yahoo business, house rents in areas where yahoo boys populate are always extremely high. Check out sapele road, ugbor, okhoromi and many others in Edo state and your will realise the truth, same thing everywhere in Nigeria |

Some people are calling on government to do something about it, are they serious? People who closed the borders to prevent food importation, created b0k0 haram and herdsmen to finish off the farmers, the people who want you stave should help with affordable accommodation? Seems Nigerians are unaware of what has befallen them. |

Nigerians are facing quite unprecedented inconveniences from all front. How do landlords expect tenants to meet up with the increase in rents in the face of their static income coupled with the.current hyperinflation? |
