Obviously, just like every other crime cultism cannot be eradicated but it can be reduced ; especially the killings.

There's one guy on Telegram and other social media accounts by the name Naija Confra. The guy campaigns against cultism and cult killings in general, if u see gory videos and pictures of cult killings happening on a regular basis in this country ehn ...... If u check most of the cult killings, majority of the ones he reports from South-South are from Benin, Auchi. He reports from other states too but mehn the one from Edo state too much

I just glanced through the manifesto now and I noticed he didn't really speak to the cultism menace that has plagued Edo state for so long. I know he mentioned Security, law and order as one of the 5 action points ; but I didn't really see where he mentioned what will be done to deal critically with the cultism cancer.

I was going to say it is surprising he gave Oshiomole "big-ups" at the beginning of the manifesto where he talked about "Our Past" considering they belong to different camps. Then I saw Past Service to Edo state where it was stated he was on the economic team of Oshiomole while he was governor. So, more like Asue Ighodalo is PDAPC through and through. He was APC and then PDP.

No wam!

On paper he seem like he is kinda prepared for the task ahead. Whether Godfatherism, internal political party wranglings and other extraneous will impact on his administration (if he wins) ; only time will tell.

I dont know why he is giving osho big ups,We all know oshiomole failed in the state and because his predecessor igbinedion dropped the bar so low doesnt mean the bare minimum will be accepted and him being part of the economic team made it worst....The reason the state is not high in poverty index is because of black tax like this shown in this stat and not cos of any govt intervention or good economic policies, it is the reason bad vices like yahoo are high in the states...Make him, Obaseki and oshi go look bush, we wan try new party and not PDAPC again....

Anybody can buy ur NIN details , use it to run a criminal parole and later law enforcement will be looking for u instead of the criminals .

For example they can buy my NIN details , use it to register MTN sim. Later when they kidnap someone they use the line to call for ransom payment . If police decide to check MTN’s record for who the line was registered to, they will just see my details and assume I’m the criminal when in fact I don’t even know a line was registered with my details.

Yes o, na two lawyers, but AI has extensive experience in finance/energy, plus his first degree was actually economics so I don't think the team is as narrow as it looks on first glance.

Yea, AI has been around for a while, and probably na establishment person, but he's the best on the ballot, so na just to hope say the man come good.

Really don't know what the guy can do regarding cultism sha, cause it's almost like a culture at this point, like pikin fit just go drink with friends next thing dem don run small bamming tell am make e dey fly color. Though I agree there needs be toughness on cultism, I really don't know about maximum sentencing, especially since recruitment into cultism can come through coercion in some cases and some of these cultists are secondary school kids...prison population is also something to be considered when deciding on maximum sentencing.

Nigeria operates two criminal law system; In the south criminal code is operational while penal code is operational in the North . Both have different definitions of minor and how a minor is culpable when it comes to crime.

The twist is ; Lagos state has even jettisoned the criminal code operational in the rest part of Southern Nigeria . Lagos state enacted its own criminal law in 2011.
