Where were you when Ganduje was destroying the entire traditional tool just cos he has score to settle with some individuals. All of you were mute then but could now pick up ur your voice cos you want to be heard. Politicians are just green snakes under the green grass.
Agreed 100%

But two wrongs don't make one right.

This post by Mr. Atiku is just for the opticc. He wants traditional rulers to perceieve him as one who could protect their interest.

One of the contradiction of our republic is having traditional institution coinciding side by side with elected government personnel. It shouldn't be so in a country that professes republic.

India upon securing independence abolished it's "raj" system i.e monarchical institution. Today there is no king nor traditional institution in India.

Our traditional institution is one cost centre that is a drain into the resources of the State. Money that would have been plough into ameliorating the plight of the citizens are used to sustain the flamboyant lifestyle of kings.

Nigeria constitution should never capture our traditional institution. And if our traditional institution must remain, it must be under the purview of the state. The British deposed many of our kings during colonial rule. And it is even the template upon independence that the State is using to administer the Local Government at present. ATiku just wants to be noticed.

Take note of the pattern. Here it is.

Incumbents who aren't in agreement with traditional leaders want to destroy them, while oppositions quickly jump to support such traditional leaders.

One thing is clear: These traditional leaders are weapons in the hands of politicians, and they are mostly looting institutions.

The monarchy system of leadership has started dying naturally, and it will not escape it. These obas, emirs, obis, Sultan, etc. must go. They are one of our main obstacle to unity and progress in Nigeria. Naturally, they will die.
It's like saying culture will die ... huh

What is left of society... sad

Yes, kings still exist in India, but their roles are largely ceremonial and cultural rather than political. Many of these royal families maintain their titles and continue to be influential in their regions.

They are often involved in preserving cultural heritage, running charitable foundations, and managing palaces and other properties, some of which have been converted into hotels and tourist attractions. Examples include the royal families of Rajasthan, such as the Maharaja of Jaipur, and the Wadiyar dynasty of Mysore.

Lol! Has the culture via these looters benefitted you in any way?

Culture is in the minds of the people. You keep culture via memories and records, and not via individuals.

So you want to keep individuals who are stealing your joy? Lol.

You see why History needs to be introduced and made compulsory. Instead of using Google to confirm my claim you have resorted to labeling me a liar.

COMRADES, honestly, I don't know why state governors don't respect our traditional rulers anymore

I'll suggest that traditional rulers should stop visiting political office holders
Traditional rulers are nothing without staff of office. Those with no staff of office are hustling to be 3rd class chiefs, 2nd class chiefs are hustling for 1st class. So they had to visit political office holders to seek for upgrades.

You have talked well, Nr Atiku. Maybe I should have even campaigned and voted you instead of this Tinubu man that is on a mission to finish the Nigerian masses.

Atiku has made another big mistake again. Even the president is silent because of sensitivity of the issues.
How is the issue sensitive? The president is silent because the evil is being done by his party leaders.

I didn't compose the text other than the last line.

It's from AI.

.....and going through the url you posted - they said what AI said that while kings still exist they have no political power. Culture and customs can't disappear..because it is the people..it's like saying what they wear or eat or the gods they worship have gone.

grin

True.
Govs have diminished the our cultural heritage and made it into laughing stock.
These are one of the misdoings Awo, Zik and Bello.
Meanwhile the British who told us to dismantle our royal institutions still have theirs intact with full powers of the king to confirm (or reject) the election of every prime minister.
