Because they'd be badly affected as they'd not see money to steal as businessmen that they are. If it's whatever that will favour them, you'd only hear of it on the TV after express approval.
Unfortunately, labour union members are being used by these politicians to have their way, after which they'd dump them once they take office and ignore their plight. I remember that labour union leader in lagos state last year vigorously campaigning for tinubu. Same woman was sighted recently leading the minimum wage protest

What Nigerians need is to show power at this point, not more protests. Large protests in Nigeria are known to turn deadly before you say "bull" and they rarely yield any change at the end. Most people simply show up for a day or two and then go back to life as usual. Instead, people, particularly our own Gen Z's(their parents included), in their local zones, can rally together to vote out non-working senators and representatives both at the local and national level. People can sign these petitions right there in their homes and have them delivered to the right offices and go from there.

So all what that have been going on since have just been a waste of time?

Economy is not depressed oga, there's even a growth in d GDP, so releasing money will worsen the inflation

What this useless govt should do is try bringing down manufacturers cost of production and goods distribution (strengthening our currency, tackle high cost of fuel, reduce tax and VAT etc...).


This minimum wage increment is like drinking procold for malaria, that's curing symptoms of a sickness.

Sadly, you may be right! Afterall, we are talking about Nigeria and Nigerians.

This politicians are not working for the good of nigerians but for themselves.They always oppose any thing that will better nigerians but when it comes to their own welfare they quickly approved it

This decision isn't fair to Nigerian workers. If FG is to resort to state governors, LG, and the organised private sector for consultation, why then did they constitute a committee in the first place? Money, time, and energy were expended on the tripartite committee on minimum wage just to buy more time to deal with Nigerian workers.

In as much as I like politics, I hate it with passion when it involves playing with the live of the people. I see this consultation without time frame as playing with the live of Nigerian workers. It's an extreme form of politics, I must say.

anything that will be beneficial to the common man will always be dragged and stepped down till it become something else, but to approve anything for senator etc will see the light of the day within 24 to 48 hours.

You people usually failed to understand simple things! So because govt , I meant federal govt and not state, increase judges emoluments by 300% so Private companies should also follow suit. Where do you guys want private companies to foot such increment propped by labour unions without tsunami lay off which will definitely affects a lot of people and family.
