So, next time, if the hiring manager didn't get back to you, don't beat yourself up. It might just be another fake job from a real company. HR managers, this is unfair!
I don't even care, it's their loss. These days, I deliberately apply and less than 24hrs to the interview send them the "unfortunately I won't be able to attend " mail. Just to let them feel what applicants go through after putting in so much work to getting a job

Typical of a black man, why raising peoples hope, knowing fully many will need to sacrifice alot to either go or book for such interviews.
The same as state governments selling tens of thousands of application forms to job seekers when they have already known those they will give the job through "long leg."

Those Companies and there Hiring Managers, should be arrested and Charged to Courts for Fraudulent practices,as they are part of the Larger Society full of filthy!
In fact, many in the Federal Govt and States Govt-are Scammers because you are saying something exists when it is not true!
Ironically, many Companies even try to Collect Money from the innocent Job Seekers, by asking them to Pay for Applications and the gaulibles Youths still obey and how do you feel on Packaging Deception like the Parties and Politicians in Nigeria?
Shameless People everywhere!

Reasons listed above
1. To deceive their own employees into thinking their workload is going to be reduced by the new workers.
2. Appearance of being open to external talents.
3. To let their employees know that they're replaceable
4. Someone commented to steal ideas from interview candidates. This I have always suspected.
5. Another reason I suspect is that interview notices are a very strong form of unpaid advertisements for the company. You post it one newspaper or social media page with very attractive salaries and every other media outlet, blog post and individual is copying and pasting everywhere for free.

An Experienced HR once told me she does it to get ideas from those interviewed. They seem to ask questions like "what will you do different to improve the role". Naija my country
That's some BS she fed to you ... and you ate it all. It's like you're interviewing me to get ideas how you can improve your appearance when I know nothing about you. So I spend time telling you see the barber every week... the hairstyle to make you look very responsible... what shampoo to use ... what hair cream to bring out the sheen in your hair and even recommend a hairstylist... all this and more... not knowing you're bald. Why would you go through all this in the hope of learning something,? Is it not better to find out from someone who knows you?... knows how your company operates so they can ID weaknesses and make recommendations? Any company that put out false adverts for the reasons given is unprofessional.

Not limited to blacks, it's everywhere but whites won't suffer you much, they will rather grant an online interview rather than ask you to come like what is obtained here!!

Those old cargos should be changed every 4 year max.

They are devoid of ideas after 4 years and the longer they remain they start playing corporate politics in the head office angry

This would women whom every executive director has slept with , whose husband's are fathering other people's children should be changed every 4 years abeg .

Nonsense women whose dreams died in their youth but choose to remain as HR head for decades yet are as useless as a the P in psychology .

And most of the applicants do borrow money for data if it's virtual and for Transport to attend the interview.

What a wicked word.

Guys, let's me carefulabout what we post. As soon as I started reading that post I knew it is NOT a Nigerianstory. We Nigerians don't bother about statistics as it was reeled out. Mysuspicion was confirmrd further down whenIsaw thename of the Chief Career Advisor. Nigerians don't have names such as Stacie Haller. Jobs are so scarce in Nigeria that no employee willbe complacent. Only recently.CBN sacked 600employees and all great companies are leaving Nigeriain droves

I am NOT saying the news is fake. I believed it to the extent that I did NOT checkthe source given. However,to confirmmy suspicion that it is NOT a Nigerian thing, whatis Goole for? I ran her namein Google search. Sure, she is there.

Here is the resultof my searc:https://www.resumebuilder.com/about-us/stacie-haller/

Another thing is that thereis nocompany,I am pretty sure in Nigeria called Resume Builder.

Experienced this as a staff of a company, where I got to see my exact role being listed as a vacant one on a job listing website.

I couldn't ask the HR why but was scared. It became worst few days later when the lady directly below me came in to tell me the management called her to a meeting and had informed her of their plans to make her understudy me for three months before coming to announce her as my new Boss....Lol that's the craziest thing I heard

I couldn't walk up to the management or even the HR to confirm the news, and I know she's a over-ambitious person that's always eyed being my Boss

Well, before the end of that three months, I got a new and better offer and I left them....so she finally has the chance to boss them all in my absence.

Whether wetin she tell me na true or not, me no know till date but at least, we are all happy now
The company I resigned from are specialist at the bolded.

So, pranking has always been here, we are just being exposed to it by the online contents creators ni!

Pranking left, right, front, back, up, down and center:

Imagine pranking from the fake Government Parastatals' job announcements, whose candidates are already standing by, to the fake robust vacancy ads by GNLD people that made a lot of guys travel inter-state, only o find out were very well dressed Hawking jobs.

Ah, na wah o.

Now I know :audio, fake and prank are synonyms.

It is well sha.

They actually gain from those they interviewed cos some of these guys have intimidating CV but couldn't secure a high paying job. Infact, a friend of mine turned down a guy after the interviewing session cos he sees him has a threat to his job

No doubt... that happens at all levels. If someone is hired as a floor worker ... but shows good supervisor potential ... the current supervisor will have issues with him ... make false accusations and try to get him transferred or dismissed. For the applicant ... he should also not put out more than is required for the same reason .... "you're over qualified for this position and we don't presently have an opening for such certifications but we'll not hesitate to call you to join our team we do."On the topic ... many companies do advertise for jobs but already have their people lined up .... just a matter of following the process of appearing to be open and fair.

what are you yapping about? Do you disregard the survey? Ofc there are genuine offers but when a survey pegs a repeated occurrence @ over 80% of HR' and 40% of Real Coys then that quantifies the level of shit level the general labor market is about...
