His love for life took him to that pinnacle he attained. He has dreams and aspirations like every other human, even much more than many of us, but I guess life happens to him. May we not be unfortunate in this life. Rip to the CEO

Depending on your personality, there comes a time when living makes no sense. I pray to find love and be loved equally cos at the end it’s (life) just a drag. Riches can’t fill ‘that void’

Nasty as it may sound, I believe in a person's right to end his life. It's not the prerogative of anyone else to commit them to a mental hospital when that could simply represent the worst that that person could wish for, and simply be the same as a jail sentence just for being sad.
that's inaccurate bro. I mean no offence. Many people in this state may have fallen into depression and become so lonely that the only thing they could think about is taking their own lives.

Why did you think mental institution or rehabilitation center were established.
They were created for people who may have lost their sanity due to challenges of life. All they need is a little mentorship and words of encouragement to push 'em out of that demonic state of mind. Some might be due to challenges. I witnessed a little boy of 24 who committed suicide. He runs a POS business for a wealthy man. I don't know what got over him. He ventures into sport bettings and ended up using an exact sum of #920,000 naira out of the business to bet. His condescending letter he wrote before taking his life after drinking snipers mix with his meals. He said I'm very sorry Papa$Mummy. I failed you guys. I can imagine the mess I've put you guys in. He spoke widely condemning his actions and wish he could turn back the hand of time but it's all too late. Even the owner said he went too far to take his life. They would have sorted a way out for him to pay back the money. But he decided to take the penalty and blame with his life.

I will say this again and again. Suicide is not an option. The situation might be terrible at the moment but it won't be there forever. Don't take your life. You might be putting those who you left behind into years of agony and pains. Shalom

Hmm, could it be as a result of hardship in the land? Nothing should make anyone take their lives, even the activities of the bad leadership in the country should not make us despair

They don't

In some states in Nigeria e.g Abia State , there are no functioning hospitals for the mentally ill.

1. Many mental hospitals are the most dreadful place you can ever take a depressed person to.

2. Don't think you can ever imagine what some people are going through. It could be worse than you imagine - and may include incurable diseases of various kinds. That little example you gave up there of the young man is just a case of a misguided kid. Its not as deep as what many people face. There are unimaginable things in this world which some people truly desire not to live through and they should not be compelled.

3. No one should be forced to remain alive. Its a choice. Have you heard of Euthanasia (mercy-killing) which is legal in some of the most civilized countries of the world?

4. Dying is a right. A person can legitimately choose to die. There doesnt even have to be a reason. A person can simply dislike this world and wish to leave, and should have a right to do so.

For those saying it might be homicide, well sorry to inform you but people do actually commit suicide.
I know cos my own uncle(not a distant relative) committed suicide and his parents and family almost wiped the incident from family history like it never happened.
He wasn't poor and quite the opposite he was a star receiving a first class education in England.
Depression like many have alluded is real and when suicidal ideation enter the mix,we need to be more empathetic because for these people it feels like being a passenger in a driverless car that is about to crash.
Eike Batista a Brazilian billionaire was once the seventh richest man in the world,he went from a networth of almost 40 billion dollars to negative, and yet he didn't commit suicide.
A German billionaire who lost about 20 billion jumped in front of a train eventhough he was said to be worth at least a hundred million dollars at the time of his death.
Same event,different reactions.
People lose it for different reasons.
I was irritated that a student in university would commit suicide over a failed university relationship till I realized we are all wired different
How about women who commit suicide over a failure to conceive or bear a male child.
How about a pastor committing suicide because he was about to be outed for having an affair.
Students taking their lives for failing an exam.
The oga patapata of dem all is drug induced psychosis with the associated highs and lows.
Many many people have taken their lives because while we talked I'll of their problems and irrational behaviour, they were in an entirely different universe in their minds.
Let us be more empathetic especially in subjects we don't fully understand.

Given his wealth, I would never take myself that seriously. I cease to matter, there's so much I would do for Nigeria. I have a ton of ideas in my head, so many, many projects, I'd like to carryout but don't have the financial means.

Hope his people are able to overcome and not be damaged emotionally. I hope it's fake news.

The think shock me too. I wonder why especially a Nigerian committing suicide very strange. Na so when it started around 2015/16any ppl think na joke. I'm sure some who have committed suicide never thought they will or laughed at those who did . May God have mercy on us.
Personally I do not believe it was suicide. Those calls don't mean he committed suicide. Could be mafia or cult or ......

Don't be too confident because you can only control so much when it comes to mental health problems. Depression can make you kill yourself and yes, it doesn't matter how rich or how well you are doing in life. When you become depressed and you don't seek help, you are likely to end up this way.

So, just take care of your mental health and hope not to slip into depression. Let me add that depressed people commit suicide because they STRONGLY believe that's the only way out of their sufferings. It takes medications and lots of convincing by professionals to make them think otherwise. Most times, this still isn't enough.

This has nothing to do with Tinubu. He is wealthy enough to afford his daily needs. It looks like a debt problem.
