Objectivist04:you are not logical. If their grandfather married an Igbo woman then the chances of marrying outside Yoruba increases. simple. And is not a bad thing that you choose to marry outside. |

Objectivist04:The Igbo wife Adeleke disgraced in Osun or another one? Chioma and her family shamelessly packed themselves to force her on Davido in his father's Parlour because they know no man in his correct senses can make her a wife, even Davido. Even after being given as a worthless sacrifice, he still refused to marry her. He made her to wear fake ring for a whole 2 years even after children to save face and pretend to be married. Even after they did, Marriage or Snipper, The Adelekes still choose an hotel in Lagos for them to come and they still agreed out of desperation. No Yoruba woman or family can debase herself and her family to that level just to get married. How many Anambra family allow marriage from Imo, not to talk of an outsider? You supposed to commend them for embarrassing all tribes. |

Tonididdyx:Truth is bitter! Even a leper will not degrade herself and her family to such an extent. It is only done to worthless children that the family want to discard off by all means. |

VTJN:Ask yourself, in this whole word, how many tribe require huge amount as a sign of commitment during marriage? The only tribe I know is igbo. Rather than speaking against it so that the practice can be abolished, you are here comparing yourself to a Yoruba man who is thinking of how to raise money to buy beans and enjoy popo garri because of his terrible electoral decision. Paying your in-laws bills doesn't exactly make you a responsible man. There are a lot I could counter here but I see you guys have resigned your faith to serving your wife and in-laws. If I be igbo man, if my wife get belle and the pikin na boy, I go abort am. |

Karleb:taking care of your wife and kids is a responsibility. I am not doing her any favour because it's my responsibility to look after my wife and kids. Paying your wife bride price and marrying her in the right way is mandatory. I am not doing her any favour with the martial rite. Not all igbos pay hugely for marriage. It's been done according to your worth/pocket. |

VTJN:The issue here is how you guys think taking care of your in-laws or spending huge amount on bride price makes you more responsible than others. When you compare too, you only see irresponsible men from other tribes. As if there are no irresponsible men and women in your own tribe too. |

Karleb:firstly, i am not igbo but yoruba. Taking care of your wife and kids is your responsibility as a man and igbo men takes pride doing this be it rich, average or poor. An average or poor igbo man will never keep a side chick when his wife and kids are not extremely comfortable. You know igbo don't practice polygamous marriage unlike yoruba so tell me why won't they take good care of their family? Supporting your in-laws it's not your duty or responsibility but a privilege. Even comfortable yoruba men do support their in-laws, just that it is mostly practised by igbo men. I guess igbo men are trying to build a solid foundation for their children if peradventure life happens and he lost his life. His wife family will stand by his children more than his own family. It is generally believed that fathers side are more wicked than mothers side. But the real pride of an igbo man is his wife and kids. I really envy them in that aspect and i believe we can always do better as yoruba men |

havilla:Trust is bitter! Adewale married from Calabar and Adeleke went into their home to go and marry her with dignity but you can never see anyone from Calabar boasting or see it as an achievement, why always Igbo? This one that used a dead child as a bait to force herself on a man in his father's Parlour and then a Lagos hotel is an achievement to a whole tribe, why? |

VTJN:This your first paragraph is absolute trash! Lol. Yoruba women, no marriage/cheap? Lol... you better go all these olosho houses wey full Yoruba land go verify how your women full there. When them too lazy waiting for men to come marry them, as those ones no too show, they take up Olosho jobs, some for crumbs, some for real bag. Because in your culture, you demand heaven and earth to sell your daughters to instantly become rich in marriage's name, then you're expensive? Lol. Because Yoruba women work just like their husband and men, it makes them weak or what? Lol. There's a reason you can't find Igbo women among richest Nigeria's women. What do they know/do? Marry a man, become full house wife, if he brings no money, then no food. Lol. Funny lot. There's a reason you see Yoruba women dominating the women's tech space. There's a reason you see the Yoruba women owning the corporate world. It's down to their hard handwork, not waiting for one man to come shoulder responsibilities for sake of beauty alone. Igbos don't get pregnant before marriage bla bla bla, lol... this one typed rubbish to massage his people's sunken ego and Tenza is sharing the rubbish lol... Chioma born three children before marriage, she terminated her admission because of man, turn full house wife, una dey celebrate am like gold, Regina Daniel too. You actually chipped that to score more lies and give poor buttress to your points. Abi no be una be this wey we dey see steady fir Lagos? Mgbekes feeling funky. Lol. I swear to God, nothing at all is absolutely nice or enviable about you people's type of marriage, it's all just down to worshipping money and celebrating who has it. Nothing more. Lol, dumb man, still stuck in archaic times. Saying marrige or courship or whatever is too easy among Yorubas. Two adults meet and prefer to be together, and they must rob the bank to do so? Nah, it doesn't happen anywhere else in the civilized world, even the Whites make marriage a lot easier than we do and the worst of them is better than the best of your culture. Similarly, two adults are chronically misunderstanding themselves, no longer interested in themselves irreconcilably, and what's next best thing to do than to divorce? Simple as it should. Only your second paragraph has some parts with sense, no sensible person should marry a poor directionless man, not just poor directionless Muslims, because even poor people become rich with ambition and discipline. Lots of misinformation going on here sha, and as you've spilled this rubbish now, I don't understand how it's made you better. |
