I Think I Prefer An Igbo-Only Country, Not Biafra by AlaafinOfOyo(op):
This is actually where I had problem with IPOB and Nnamdi Kanu. Historically, Ndigbo do have ancestral links with the Efiks and Ibibios, but that is now history.

We all know that for every Igbo nationalist, Nigeria is a no-no - a country moving in circles for 60 years. So we Igbo want our own country, the way we had it before the British placed us in this aweful contraption called Nigeria.

As an Igbo, would you prefer:

1. An Igbo-only country comprising all Igbo communities in any state they're found in Nigeria

2. Biafra, knowing that some Igbo communities, especially west of the Niger were not part of the 1967 Biafra

3. A quick exit for our southeast Igbo people

Think carefully before you comment. And share the benefit and demerit of each option.

Only for Ndigbo please...

Note how the A F O N J AS INVADED the post. Igbo and Biafra do give them sleepless nights. They just cannot imagine a country without the Igbo. Maybe they fear that Igbo exit would lead to a chain reaction that would cause others to leave and expose their bankruptcy if left to their own devices. What do you think chopnaira? what are AF O N JA scared of an Igbo or Biafra exit and never concerned that Ilorin, Kwr and maybe Lagos is gone?
Re: I Think I Prefer An Igbo-Only Country, Not Biafra by Sapasenator:
I would prefer for Ndigbo to remain in Nigeria. It's by far a better deal as you see what IPOB is already doing to our people in the name of "sit-at-home" It will be far worse under Biafra or a separate Igbo country. Also, we are landlocked. It is my opinion and if you quote me to spew vituperations, Egbe igwe gbarie gi ishi!

We are not landlocked if you know history. Look at this 1856 map of the Igbo country before the British and Nigeria politically shrinked the Igbo territory using state creation, as a result of the loss of the civil war. Even the 1911 map still showed that the Igbo country the British met extended to the Atlantic. Is Opobo and Bonny landlocked? Are they not Igbo territory from that map? Even with Azumini alone, Igbo have clear access to the sea. How were slaves shipped from the Igbo hiterland to the coast? Azumini river.

Even the support IPOB is getting from many Igbo is because they are tired of Nigeria. IPOB is too small for Ndigbo to deal with if the people decide they're a nuisance, but the fact is that their agitation resonates with many Igbo.

Ibos were either sold by Aro confederacy or captured by the slave catchers in slave raids, majorly Ijaw and Benin, and bought to the south.

So that you won't say I am lying.

Ps: Ibos are also not indigenous to Bonny and other coastal towns.

Do you read at all? I said I want an Igbo-only country and still acknowledged that the Igbo and Efiks are related. Are you jealous of that affinity?

I prefer that to tower of babel if all Igbo speaking people of Nigeria are united into one country we will not lack anything ,resources, land, arable land, sea access etc.

The Effik nation have their own history and don't share a thing with you.

There's even a landmark stone in northern Cross River that was used by their ancestors when crossing into present day Nigeria.

The Eigede and Idoma people went north , while the effks went south.

Stop attaching by force.

Even the Benue people of Eigede and Idoma openly aknowledge this direct link with the Effiks.

Why you guys like to set disgrace yourselves ?

You came to these parts alongside the black Pharaohs of Egypt who will become the Hausa Kings. The Binis were the dark lords of the Egyptian mysteries .

Stop disgracing yourselves online.

If you don't know your history , do not try to claim another man's own.

He is telling the truth. That's what Reno and Asari always say as well, even though Reno always try to be politically correct. All those areas that are not so Ibo today but some think are ibos. That's how they got there.

Not the where they got their slaves from, the tribe was mentioned and "other side of the Niger" in the screenshot below. This is to tell you that they are not indigenous to those places.

Get a map and see if cross River shares a northern border with your SE.

Benue shares an extensive southern border with Cross River .

But you won't know this because you assume Ibo land has an ocean coast.

Donperignon is from the SS.

Back to the topic. I support Igbo only country for Biafria, but don't try and snatch other lands that you were never indigenous to. Lands that belongs to the Ijaws and Binis

Very correct because their eyes are locked on stealing the land and resources of the SS.

That's why Ojukwu threw a spasm after Gowon created states out of the old yeast.

Chibuzor find map and stop disgracing yourself online.

Northern and central Cross River share an extensive border with Benue.

The Cameroun mountain range extends from central Calabar up to Adamawa passing through Benue and Taraba.

The Effiks have a well documented history of migrating from the Congo into their present location via a valley passage in Ikom.

Or do you want to claim Congolese now instead of the Jew that you are now larpin as?.

Pathetic.

I told you people already that Nigeria is not Biafra problem it is Biafra that is the biggest problem of Nigeria.
.those people's issues are beyond solution, they are not comfortable with igbos staying in Nigeria or leaving Nigeria, either direction igbos take leaves them permanently in perpetual trepidation

The oyibo man that drew that map just lumped everyone together and described the geographical location after the most prevalent group.

For a more updated revised cultural map, I suggest you see Basden's map he used in his book " Among the Nigger Ibos".

Biafra would never have been a problem to Nigeria if you respected your boundaries.
