No, not necessary, because before being issued an entry visa by the austrian embassy in Nigeria, your responsible/relevant local authority in Austria has already issued you a residence permit, just waiting for you to come and pick it up.

On arrival ,what may be of pertinence is the registration of your residential address with the authority and obtain the confirmation "Meldezettel". Also registering with your local health insurance scheme " Gesundheitskasse" for your social/health insurance card, EHIC.

Quick one., is there a substitute for the Euro payment for verification at the Austrian Embassy? Can i use naira equivalent? People that have done their verification between March and now help me abeg. I can't differentiate between a fake Euro and original bikonu. Our verification are in days' time..

If you have already applied in the same uni please can I use English proficiency letter from the MOE to apply or must I use IELTS etc and also can I apply with authenticated documents then legalize my document on uni admission request? Please somebody should tell me

IELTS is compulsory.
You can submit it anytime within the application window.

You can apply with normal documents. But once they respond to you. You have to send legalized docs to JKU within 3 weeks to a month after their request.

For the mandatory residence registration, you go to your responsible city council, "Magistrat Klagenfurt" in your case.

For the issuance of your European Health Insurance Card that will carry your new social insurance number you go to
your regional health service provider, " ÖGK Klagenfurt"
