This is a government that the crying of her people is premium in their heart of heart and not the heart hardened heart like the one will have in Nigeria. Good one Mr. Ruto but you can still do better but slimming more of what may be eating deep the country's wealth.

My brother tribalism and religiosity is real. No matter what some people may be facing, they will never join any protest, so far the person in government is either who they love, or voted for or is their religion man or they come from the same place. It has happened before. In 2012 subsidy removal SS and SE never joined in the subsidy removal protests. In 2020, during the ENDSARs protests, the NE and NW never joined in the protests, it was NC, SW, SE and SS that protested.
Today if a protest is called and some people come out in SW, be rest assure that there would be blood bath because politicians there we sponsor counter protest and probably same thing in some selected places in NC. It's not easy to weaponised poverty, ethnicity and religiosity.

The president has done the needful that a listening leader should have done but still finding a way to justify why he needs to do otherwise. Every reasonable leaders all over the world listen to the impulse of his led, no matter how sensible your policy may look like. You cannot because of paying debt and then start squeezing the people you're leading to stupor, just as Mr. President is doing in Nigeria. Your policy must be seen to be citizen's friendly and not the one that will cause excruciating pains on the people and render them incapacitated.

Because they have used all the money they had in the past to pay their politicians. Same thing is happening in Nigeria. How can senators be earning salary and allowance totalling #30m + per month. How can less than 500 people budget over #344B for themselves in 2024 when many states can't pay minimum wage of #30k? They are buying Suv cars worth hundreds of millions when millions of Nigerians are on less than #30000 per month.

Are you aware that same thing happened during the democracy day protest in Lagos just less than two months ago? They will always sponsor counter protest that are more vicious with the backing of the state macenery than the true protest.
