Stop boasting with your social media legitimacy.
Legal legitimacy yes, but not really popular legitimacy as it is a valid point that the majority of the electorate voted against him. Its almost like a US president who loses the popular vote.

He has already written his name in the history books of Nigerian leadership.
Written in history, but not written in gold. Thus far, I am sure not even you will deny that the memory Nigerians are developing of Tinubu is a painful and unpleasant one. The people will remember this time with pain, and not with happy nostalgia. Not even you can change that.

And that is truly sad for someone who has a valid claim to be a fighter for democracy and freedom in this country (with NADECO).

Rishi Sunak is smarter than this Stammer. Rishi stabilized the shambled economy inherited from Liz and he was so bold about the direction he was heading. Starmer was evasive in some of his policies.

Rishi literally annihiliated Starmer during the debate.

Being Indian was the only thing against him which the Brits didn't like.

I wish Starmer best of luck but I cant see him implementing lot of changes with his overwhelming majority in the Parliament.

The knives will soon be out for him.
They think ukis very easy to govern. Sunak did alot to stabilise the economy after 2 prime ministers resigned

The majority that voted against him, did they vote for a single candidate who was then denied victory?

If we are to ridicle the winner for not winning majority of votes cast despite being the candidate with the highest votes and the only candidate who surpassed the required minimum electoral spread that qualified him to be so declared as validly elected, is it the losers who came behind him with even more majority votes against them that we should now accord any regard?

Did you see the President in Kenya who won both on social media and actual votes?

Did you see the crisis his government was engulfed with because he tried to implement a tax policy so that government would have more funds to provide the citizens with infrastructure and services?

13 people died in the protest and riots that ensued.

Is that not a clear reminder that despite the euphoria of electoral victory, the business of running a country requires taking hard decisions that do not have to be popular or palatable?

Any of the candidates and supporters of candidates in the 2023 Nigerian presidential election, who advocated oil subsidy removal and the floating of the currency exchange, do not have any morality to lament about the obvious consequences of those policies as we now experience them.

I am only sad for the little minority of Nigerians who voted for unsung candidates that did not advocate for subsidy removal.

Understood.

However - talking economics - the manner of subsidy removal left much to be desired. And following it immediately with the naira float was very ill advised. Calamituous actually.

Went out around town yesterday. Was shocked at the amount of quality restaurants that had closed,

Not so much as a single customer @ Hard Rock Cafe and several other places which were booming just last year. These things are telling. The economy has been strangled. Very very very badly. Through bad policy making and implementation. The damage that has been done in one year alone may take decades to reverse.

Its not enough to say "hard decisions." Quality thought must go into these things. The president has been reckless and has inflicted damage on this country. Grave damage.

I dont know that Obi would have been any better though, except most likely in terms of eschewing extravagance and opulent excess in the midst of a crisis. Tinubu does not do well in this regard.

Oga, People don’t really talk about ethnicity in uk politics. The emphasis is on political manifestos and how to address diverse economic issues on ground… This your statement na for Africa not UK

Dont be naive oh. There is still an element of racism in Western politics. The Trump phenomenon in the US has been interpreted by many as a backlash against a black president. And thats not without some merit.

Peter Obi was the democratically elected president of the federal republic of Nigeria.

Tinubu hijacked the election with the help of the criminal mahmood yakubu.

Only a fool will argue it.

The problem with mad people is that they think others are foolish. When you have no insight that you are also sick, the prognosis is worse. The worst part of this is that even the Peter Obi you are talking admits receiving his advice from a mad man.

Bros, don't allow Peter Obi's matter to send you to Yaba psychiatrist hospital. You have a life ahead of you. What you are displaying here is confirmed madness

It doesn't matter. It is no longer a matter of preference. It is a matter of "Who won".
You want INEC to declare the person you prefer even though he came third .

If you don't know this Is madness, your problem is even worse. Obi's own is better...he quickly realised he got his advice from a mad man. You don't even know you are displaying signs
of psychiatric illness if you keep shouting that someone that came third should have been installed because he is your preference.

You see why most obedients are classified as idiiots? Who is babachir lawal to decide who won or lost an election? If he was picked as a VP to Tinubu, would he have stated this? Is he a position of authority to know who lost or won election? Am really sorry for obedients, logical reasoning is not among their strengths. Sad

That's only in theory as the monarch only acts on the advise of the PM. This makes the PM the big dog in practice.

Well, the royal family don't really have that power any longer, only what the parliament allows. The English revolution brought about a constitutional monarchy and that has created a balance of power- Monarch, PM, parliament.

UK obviously needs the monarchy for many reasons and could easily have got rid of them like the French. Saying that, no democracy is perfect and many don't like the exclusivity of the royal family.
UK democracy is just a smokescreen that's a fact

And the Indians would never give you their citizenship, yet they have citizenships of other countries all over the world. Spend eternity and you’ll never be an Indian. If the English were tribalistic, Rishi Sunak would not be the PM.

Rishi Sunak's government has faced the economic consequences of Covid 19, tensions with the union, high national debt, high energy prices, inflation with the citizens groaning under it, weak economic growth, etc.

It’s time for him to leave, just like we do not expect one baba to stay beyond 2027 with his horrible errors in Nigeria.

Stop boasting with your social media legitimacy.

President Tinubu does not need it.

The legitimacy that makes him the validly elected President of Nigeria is what makes him occupy Aso Rock and directing the affairs of Nigeria, both locally and internationally.

What is quite embarrassing to the many political prostitutes and ticket hunters he contested against, is that he attained the Presidency of Nigeria on his very 1st attempt.

1st nomination form purchase, 1st party candidates clearance, 1st party presidential candidacy after winning the primaries, 1st presidential election contest.

He succeeded where many have failed despite all their political prostitution, and where many will still never succeed.

He has already written his name in the history books of Nigerian leadership.

Too bad for Rishi Sunak. For someone of Indian heritage, he took over as PM at the worst time possible. No magic could have made him win the election.

Congratulations to Keir Starmer. This is a very massive victory that was thought impossible just five years ago. Now that he will be assuming office as PM, it’s time to face the reality and walk the talk. Let’s see the magic he will perform in the next one year.

but for your india reference
India does not also allow Indians hold two citizenships
so if you become Brit or Canadian or American, you lose your Indian citizenship so that balances it up
