Cook up story as a form of damage control… if those EFCC officials got to know there was a cctv in the room, they would have damaged it and take it with them as evidence ….the way the officer attacked the lady in the video is not different to what an armed robber would to anyone. They don’t know how to defend such action and they can’t put the face of the guy on the paper for the world to see . That means no justice served for the assaulted lady. This is a cook up story. A damage control. If you must lead, try and lead by example… there are lots of big thieves in the political realm….known thief’s with their files on EFCC table and yet nothing has been done. Na Padi Padi government we dey!!

Again, misplaced priority. Don't do the work of the NPF and forget your main job description and responsibilities. In real terms, the EFCC have failed to go after the big fish while arrassing the small and innocent fish. Where are the likes of Yahaha Bello, accused of fraud in the tunes of over 80 billion naira converting state funds.

Recent times have seen several prominent Nigerians accused of fraud and facing legal actions. Here are some notable cases:

1. **Atiku Abubakar** - Former Vice President, was linked to property acquisitions in Dubai amid allegations of using offshore companies to transfer millions of dollars of suspect funds.

2. **Orji Uzor Kalu** - Former Governor of Abia State, was convicted in 2019 for a N7.65 billion fraud but had his conviction nullified by the Supreme Court in 2020. He remains under scrutiny for alleged corruption during his tenure as governor.

3. **Ahmed Idris** - Former Accountant-General of the Federation, was arrested in May 2022 for allegedly misappropriating N109 billion through bogus consultancies and other illegal activities.

4. **Betta Edu** - Suspended Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, faced interrogation over an alleged N585 million fraud.

5. **Sadiya Umar-Farouq** - Former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development, is being investigated for allegedly laundering N37.1 billion through a contractor.

6. **Halima Shehu** - Suspended National Coordinator of the National Social Investment Programme Agency, detained over the alleged laundering of N37.1 billion.

7. **Odoh Ocheme** - A staff member of the Central Bank of Nigeria, declared wanted by Interpol for allegedly forging documents to steal $6.2 million from the apex bank.

EFCC should go after the big fish who are government officials and stop arrassing young boys and girls barging into their hotel rooms, and raiding them without due cause. Or are they scared to go after the big fish ? This question has remained unanswered. Let the planned protest against the EFCC begins already.

I don't understand, where is it stated in our constitution or law that protests are illegal? Why are they making a big deal out of it if not that they have something to hide? They should better turn things around because that protest will hold which will be a dent to their image.

yes it is illegal to them when they are in power but they can do it when not in power again
