His past good deeds during his earthly sojourn are what will help him in the afterlife. No mausoleum, no vault, no whatsoever will be of benefit to him. One needs not to visit the grave of Yaradua to remember him. His memories are already ingrained in the hearts of millions of people.

Islam emphasizes simplicity, especially concerning graves and tombs. For instance, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:

"Do not make my grave a site of festivity" (Sunan Abu Dawood, Book 21, Hadith 2042).

Additionally, the Prophet (peace be upon him) instructed:

"Do not sit on graves and do not pray facing them" (Sahih Muslim, Book 4, Hadith 2117).

Moreover, in the Quran, Allah says:

"Then We made you successors in the land after them so that We may observe how you will do" (Quran 10:14).

These teachings underscore that graves should not be a place of excessive adornment or a site of rituals that may lead to shirk (associating partners with Allah). Therefore, the simplicity of the late president's burial tomb aligns with these Islamic principles.
