My girlfriend parents refused me to marry their daughter because I didn't show up when they requested for me to come and see them. They claim that I'm not a serious person. Please how can I convince them since they won't allow me to come to the house? Please help me.

Also note that I've cited poor health and work as reasons why I couldn't make it to see them.

You don't need to convince anyone to take away liability from their home.
