Haha You mean the same Lagos they told us one drug addict built? ![]() NB. For those unfortunate fellows quoting me to yearn radarada rubbish, you were boasting here that the old monkey built all of Lagos and that all the other governors of Lagos were useless. Which natural disaster? When you laugh everyday for common gully erosion in the east, just ordinary gully erosion and you people will be throwing parties. Tit for tat. Go and sit down! |

If most of the expensive neighbourhoods in the island was properly planned and built by a sane government just like they did to Festac, it won't be this bad. Asides building in water ways and blocked drainages, the ground table floor which the island was developed on is very low. |

jjcena:And they told you buildings on the island are not planned Or festac isn't flooded??Seems you are not familiar with one or both places that you mentioned, btw, we are talking about flash flood, you don't have power over it, that's why it's classified as Act of God under disaster classification. The current environmental planning abuse in festac isn't in anyway close to the abuse on the island |

Any borehole in that area poses a health risk. Cholera and other waterborne diseases would probably affect the water in those boreholes. |

This will continue to occur in Lagos as long as certain development guidelines are not followed in these areas. Fences are not helping matters and some places should simply be flood plains but they are all built up so this will continue especially on the Island which is below sea level. |

On how she got out, she said, “My husband carried the children and I and crossed the flood. Very brave man! I was so scared for him. He had to climb onto furniture to stay dry. All our appliances are ruined, and the damage is beyond repair, but we thank God for life.” |

jjcena:Are you sure you know wht you're saying? Places like Lagos Island and Victoria Island not well planned? Do you think these places were built by your usual corrup Nigerin politicians? These places were planned by the colonial government. The problem is strictly terrain. one-quarter of these places are simply flood plains and another one-quarter are below sea level. These areas are simply disaster waiting to happen and it's just matter of time because there is no will among the politicl class to do the right thing due to greed. |

I thought Jagaban tamed the Atlantic? I remember vividly well on that faithful day Jagaban spoke to the Atlantic to be still and it did. What then is happening? Ipobs in war propaganda circulating old videos of flooded lagos even before Tinubu became governor. Bitter Obidients. |

Some of us can go to any extent just to appear right or validated. How can you laugh at someone affected by a natural disaster? What has happened to humanity sef? I'm honestly ashamed at the extent we've fallen! |

NdokwaNeKu:perhaps your parents back home will prefer the flood to the gully erosion and somewhat earthquake that has renders them totally homeless, unfortunately that’s if less concern to you than the Lagos flood. |
