Now you want to revert to the same old ethnic isolation and sovereignty.

One guy said the ''3 tribes'' will do better if operating independently each on their own.

What about the other 300+ ''tribes'', or your mumu heads think only Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba exist in Nigeria?

When each ''tribe'' goes its own way, we will have 300 FUC.KING COUNTRIES where previously we had ONE.

An absolute recipe for CHAOS.

And if you say those 300 ethnic groups should join up with one or the other of the ''big 3'', we will simply have 3 new NIGERIAS, with one majority group lording it over the others.

Meaning Back to Square One.

SO QUIT WASTING YOUR TIME BY THINKING YOU CAN RUN AWAY FROM YOUR PROBLEMS BY ''DIVIDING NIGERIA''.

It will not happen. You MUST learn to live with one another in a large, multi-ethnic country.

The Mali Empire was around 6 times the size of Nigeria, and was multi-ethnic and multilingual.

And was very prosperous and successful for many centuries.

So multi-ethnic societies are not alien to Africa.

So forget about ''dividing Nigeria'', and go and hustle and make money like your mates and stop disturbing people.

The idea itself is so stupid at this point.

The country has invested billions of dollars in building Abuja, for instance.

With money/resources that came from other parts of the country.

So if Nigeria 'divides', who takes Abuja?

Your father?

Are you prepared to be DEPORTED from Abuja, Lagos, Kaduna, Kano, Jos etc?

Because if Nigeria 'divides', you will be stuck to YOUR neck of the woods.

You will not be allowed to settle in your millions outside your homeland, as is the case presently.

Are you prepared to become a FOREIGNER in Lagos?

A FOREIGNER in Abuja?

That any policeman can slap and detain, and demand your residency papers or visa?

Restructuring is like kicking the can down the road. Lets bite the bullet once and for all.

Separate to 5 countries. Arewa Republic,Biafra Republic, Middle Belt Republic, Odua Republic,
Lower Niger Republic. We can have a commonwealth of natiins for cooperation but 100% different countries

Do you know the number of Yorubas who live in the UK? Or do you know the number of Igbos living in Cameroun? Have they all been asked to return to their country?

Read and learn. If Nigeria splits, new governments will ask foreign nationals to obtain documents that show they are visitors. They will eventually learn to behave in their new country or be deported to their country of origin. Any government that deports a large number of people who have economic value pays a heavy price for it.

By the way, this moniker doesn't subscribe to balkanization. I am all for restructuring and resource control by states.

I reckon if every component unit or ethnicity is free to choose, at the end of the process no more than 6 countries will emerge from Nigeria! Nigeria may EVEN survive the process sef! Key thing is that no one is harangued or bullied into being part of a country they have reservations about….like we have with Nigeria today, and they all have the freedom to use their own resources to develop at their own pace!

For Nigeria to divide, there has to be a war, bloodier and deadlier than the Civil War. No country in recent history, say the 21st Century, aside from the breakup of the Soviet Union, has divided without a war. Even Kosovo which is "divided" is not recognised by the China/Russia bloc in the International Community. This brings me to an important part: for a country to successfully divide and function, it needs to be recognised by all major power blocs in the International Community. The international community here is: The West and its allies, India, China/Russia, Brazil, Turkey, Saudi Arabia etc. Failure to get these parties to recognise your new country means life would be miserable for every citizen. It means you people are cut off from international trade and travel. The poverty will be X2 of what they experienced while in Nigeria. Other examples are Northern Cyprus and to an extent Taiwan.

Please note, I am not a fan of "One Naijeriya", but we have to grasp reality here. Any division of present-day Nigeria WILL not happen without a bloody war.

Nothing will happen. You over-rate Nigerians. As long as Nigeria(ns) is divided across ethnic and religious lines, NOTHING WILL HAPPEN. No protest in Nigeria has ever been united.

Look at those European countries, they work better because each to its own.
Denmark, Finland, Spain, Italy, Austria, France etc... The same people with same identity and language gather to form even smaller individual countries with fewrer populations.

West African countries were established to fulfill only one aim which is colonization, to divide and conquer.
Imagine a yoruba nation standing alone, igbo nation standing alone and Hausa nation standing alone.. We will work better individually and even as a team.

If you keep brothers in one house fighting and competing for the same resources, there won't be peace in that house and progress may be slow. But let each have their separate properties, they will work better and meet time to time in the family house for family meetings. They will have each others back better and work towards progress.

By all means divide the country if you want, but do not think for one minute that will bring development and progress.
Look at all the states at the moment. Bad roads, no pipe borne water, dilapidated schools. The governors and LG are all corrupt and evil. The bottom line is we are a very wicked and evil people and dividing the country will not change that.


I hope someday Nigeria can divide! it will be for the greater good.
