Good morning.
So, I did my NIN a few months back. I needed to use it for verification on upwork and it wasn't working. So, I was advised to get a National ID.

I went to get it and I received the shocking news that my NIN hasn't been validated. I then paid 5k for express validation and it's over a week now. The NIN guy claimed the database is down.

Please how true is this?
I urgently need to get validated.

You paid 5k to who...guy in local government office/secretarial or just a random guy in street corner

He is a NIN accredited agent, not a random guy on the street. He has an office tho.

Is the accredited agent office in local government secretarial .... or just a shop in a street

It's not in LGA secretariat

Only an agent of the local government secretarial is an accredited agent....not all the street guy u meet...

I have the same issue too. They said their system is down..

Nin issues is a big one. Just pray your Nin haven't been suspended

My Nin was suspended and I wasn't even aware since 2021. I spent close to 200k just on nin before it was resolved some months back.

Have you been able to validate it now? I recently got a new job and I'm supposed to open an account with the bank they use, only to find out that I cant validate my NIn. It keeps saying 'pls contact NIMC for assistance'. I'm tired already. This country can just stress the hell out of someone
