A grossly underwhelming performance by Pulisic and Leao, who have both been replaced by Okafor and Chukwueze. |

See tap in Giroud just missed after an excellent job by Chukwueze. |

Still can’t get that Giroud miss out of my head ![]() Pioli should have stayed with the selection and tactic that beat Lecce on Saturday. Chukwueze has done enough to justify another start. Infact, our best chances came after Chukwueze and Adli came in. We were just flat and indifferent. #FORZAMILAN |

I can't come and kill myself. How both clubs have decided to keep me in pain and misery is beyond me. |

Pioli and Milan have agreed to part ways after this season. The scandalous performance and loss to Roma was the final nail in the coffin. Pioli will forever have my respect and while I am disappointed with the decision to part ways, I can understand. For some reason, he couldn’t fix our defensive issues and that cost us severally. With that being said, he remains a tactically savvy coach and I know he would get another gig. I am not sure who I have in mind but whoever we pick has to address our defense. There are rumors about Emery which I welcome considering he would be able to work with a lean budget. #FORZAMILAN |

This season is beginning to feel underwhelming. The loss to Inter today was annoying to say the least. I just respect myself off app before game finish. |

Today is the Juventus v Milan derby. After a scandalous performance against Inter which I want to forget quickly, I hope we can win today’s derby which has implications for the 2nd position. Al #FORZAMILAN |

patrickmuf:De Rossi has done a magnificent job since taking over. I would like to see if he continues with the impressive performance next season or if this is just adrenaline of a new face who happens to be a legend in the locker room. Thiago Motta is another young coach in the serie A that is getting a lot of attention. |

So many names swirling around for our now open head coach position. Foncesa/ RDZ/ VBommell. Poch’s name has also come up since his disengagement from Chelsea.Personally, I don’t want Fonseca, I don’t believe he is an upgrade from Pioli. I don’t think we can get Motta who would have been my preferred choice but he seems Juve bound at this time. Knowing RedBird (ownership), they would be looking for a yes man..Whoever it is, I hope he understands we should be competing at the highest level. #FORZAMILAN |

P. Fonseca will replace Pioli. I am not sure about this hire but he did a good job with Lille. He qualified them for the Europa and this past season qualified them for the UCL. |

We need to approach Real Madrid and try to secure a loan move for A. Guler. I doubt Ancelotti will allow him leave, especially with his glowing performances in the ongoing Euros, but it won’t hurt to try. #FORZAMILAN |

Watching UCL extended highlights of Milan vs Deportivo La Corona. I do remember this game quite well. The anguish of watching Deportivo come back from a 4-1 deficit in the first leg in Milan to win 5-4 on aggregate in Spain. This remains one of the greatest comebacks in the UCL. Molina was one of the better goalies at the time. The stretch to save Rui Costa’s effort from long range nearly off me. What happened to Deportivo La Coruna? These guys are now playing in the 2nd division I believe. They had players like Valeron, Luque, N. Naybet, Molina and Pandiani. Memories!!! #FORZAMILAN |

Roland17, why is Milan not active in the market at this point? |
| Re: The AC Milan Thread: 2021/2022 Serie A Champions! by Roland17(m): 6:41am On Jul 13, 2024 |
patrickmuf:The transfer market in general has been slow because of the COPA and Euros. Also, we have a thin budget to work with. However, we have been working on nailing some transfers. We should wrap up Morata’s transfer in the coming week, he is scheduled for his medical and all indications predict he will sign after the final. For around 13M, I don’t think it is a bad move. We are also chasing Pavlovic, God I hope we get him and Fofana (Monaco). |

Roland17:I am not sure Ibra is the best fit for the role right now. Fofana and Pavlovic will be very good signings. Morata? Milan should be doing better. |
| Re: The AC Milan Thread: 2021/2022 Serie A Champions! by Roland17(m): 6:14am On Jul 14, 2024 |
patrickmuf:I wish we can do better but the truth is, our finances don’t make us competitive in the market. We have scums as an ownership group. They have refused to invest in the club and used the idea of building a new stadium as excuse. I honestly wish we can get Real Madrid to loan us A. Guler. |
| Re: The AC Milan Thread: 2021/2022 Serie A Champions! by chic2pimp(m): 1:16pm On Jul 14, 2024 |
Roland17:This is nothing but the truth. Forget Mid tier Premier league teams, our transfer budget is equivalent to that of low tier and newly promoted EPL teams. Even with the allure of Champions League football, we are scrapping the bottom of the barrel. Fofana I presume was dead set on Milan if not he'd either be earning an obscene amount in Saudi or joining a Premier league side. patrickmuf:Let's not kid ourselves, We can not do any better than Morata. The sooner we accept this fact the better. Any significant upgrade on Morata would cost more both in terms of Transfer Fee and Wages, money we can not afford at this present moment. |

patrickmuf:Yes. However, it is still in the early phase. I think we got council approval in April. The next phase will be the program agreement which would detail specifics about the plan of construction. It is going to be a 70K capacity. |

D. Zapata no dey use eye see Milan, e must score. When he was with Atalanta e no gree us rest. I am so tired of M. Thiaw, it is time to move on from this kid. Also, Okafor needs to be starting somewhere along with Leao. Morata changed the game for us with his positioning but I would like to see Okafor starting. Thank goodness we came back and drew this game. #FORZAMILAN |

Parma are scary on the counter attack. They move the ball so fast and are inside dangerous areas of our box with few passes. Omo pressure too much eh! |
