I usually hear of statements like, "What happened is God's Will, whenever a disaster happens. I don't understand. Is the will of God evil? The Bible says God loves us and has good thoughts towards us, if that's the case, why are bad things attributed to his will? Below is a sceenshot of a persons comment on the Jos school building collapse...

1. In all our actions there is cause and effect which may happen by chance 2. Any unfortunate situation that happens to anyone is never God's will. it may also happen by chance 3. Any fortunate situation that happens to anyone is God's will and it may also happen by chance 4. Fortunate occurrences are not miracles. They occur as a result of deliberate actions, or by chance or luck and they are God's will |

Michaeltreasure:In Scripture, the Will of God simply refers to God's Law in the particular dispensation. For instance, in the Old Testament, the Will of God is the Law of Moses whereas in the New Testament, the Will of God is Jesus Christ - the Gospel and Law of God in the Kingdom of God. ![]() The ignorant application of the term by those who are of the religions of men, Christianity being one of them, have no link to that found and described in Scripture. ![]() |

Michaeltreasure:Whatever EVIL that's happening now has nothing to do with the WILL of God it's the result of Adamic sin which will be tough during the last days. This is fine and acceptable in the sight of our Savior, God, whose WILL is that all sorts of people should be saved and come to an accurate knowledge of truth. 1Timothy 2:3-4 So when Jesus said: “Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the Kingdom of the heavens, but only the one doing the WILL of my Father who is in the heavens will. Many will say to me in that day: ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?’ And then I will declare to them: ‘I never knew you! Get away from me, you workers of lawlessness! Matthew 7:21-23 Jesus meant Malachi's prophecy: At that time those who fear Jehovah spoke with one another, each one with his companion, and Jehovah kept paying attention and listening. And a book of remembrance was written before him for those fearing Jehovah and for those meditating on his name. Malachi 3:16 So if you're not among those preaching and teaching about God's Kingdom spreading the message having to do with ACCURATE KNOWLEDGE of God's word or you're not among those welcoming those taking this message into people's homes {Matthew 10:11-13} then forget it you're not doing God's will it's in two ways: it's either you're among those taking this ACCURATE KNOWLEDGE to people's homes or you're one of those accepting the messengers into their homes. The reason Malachi has told you names are written by angels following the messengers your name can only enter their book if you're one of those taking the message to people's homes or you're one of those welcoming the messengers! Revelations 20:15 God bless you and may you have PEACE! |

From a Christian perspective, we believe that God's ultimate will is for humanity to be in loving relationship with Him and to reflect His character in the world. As Jesus taught, the greatest commandments are to love God and love our neighbor (Matthew 22:36-40). So at its core, God's will is about love - receiving God's love and sharing it with others. 1. God's will is revealed through Scripture. The Bible provides moral guidance and insight into God's character and purposes. Studying Scripture prayerfully can help align our hearts with God's will. 2. God's will often unfolds gradually as we walk in faith. We may not always have a clear roadmap, but can trust God to guide our steps as we seek Him. 3. God's will involves our transformation. As Paul writes, God's will is our "sanctification" (1 Thessalonians 4:3) - our growth in holiness and Christlikeness. 4. God's will is carried out through human free will and choice. God doesn't typically override our freedom, but invites our cooperation. 5. Discerning God's will requires spiritual attentiveness. Through prayer, reflection, and openness to the Holy Spirit, we can become more attuned to God's leading. 6. God's will is ultimately about His glory and the flourishing of His creation. Our individual callings fit into this larger purpose. It's important to note that God's will is not always easy or comfortable. Jesus himself struggled with accepting God's will in Gethsemane (Luke 22:42). Yet we can trust that God's will is ultimately good, even when it involves suffering or sacrifice. Practically speaking, seeking God's will involves both active discernment and trust. We should prayerfully consider our decisions, seek wise counsel, and use the gifts and opportunities God has given us. But we also need to rest in God's sovereignty, knowing that even when we can't see the full picture, God is working all things for good (Romans 8:28). |

| Re: What Is The Will Of God? by Kobojunkie: 8:25pm On Jul 13, 2024 |
Michaeltreasure:First of all, Scripture makes it abundantly clear that the Will of God — the Law of Moses as well as the Gospel/Law of the Kingdom of God, Jesus Christ—belong only to those who are of the House of Jacob i.e. descendants of the man named Jacob. Religious entities ignore this fact stated in Scripture to instead assert that God of Israel, against His very declaration, belongs to every other out there. ![]() Yes, if you are not of the blood of Jacob — not an Israelite— you do not need to concern yourself much with the God of Israel who swore His only people are the children of Israel. ![]() |

| Re: What Is The Will Of God? by MaxInDHouse(m): 8:44pm On Jul 13, 2024 |
Dtruthspeaker:This is what my Bible say: But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, betrayers, headstrong, puffed up with pride, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, having an appearance of godliness but proving false to its power; and from these turn away. 2Timothy 3:1-5 The highlighted in blue says it all. The tribulations is as a result of human factor not God's will! ![]() |

Michaeltreasure:Misinterpretation! |
| Re: What Is The Will Of God? by Kobojunkie: 8:45pm On Jul 13, 2024 |
Michaeltreasure:That is exactly what God of Israel, and Jesus Christ said. You are not under the Will of God at all. Jesus Christ went on to warn His followers not to give that which is Holy — the Will of God aka God's Law — to the dogs — non-Israelites. The Law of Moses was equally handed by God only to the descendants of Jacob in the land of Canaan. Jesus Christ was handed only to the Lost Sheep of Israel in a different land, the Kingdom of God, a Kingdom not of this world. In both cases, only the children of Israel — the House of Jacob — were made the offer. ![]() |
| Re: What Is The Will Of God? by paxonel(m): 8:45pm On Jul 13, 2024 |
Michaeltreasure:there are no scriptures that suggest that evil happenings are the will of God. Rather Luke 13:2 And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things? Luke 13:3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Evil and good things happens to everyone equally by chance, it doesn't not matter whether one person is good and the other is bad. The school children who lost their lives never did anything bad to warrant the evil. It wasn't God that punish them. It all happened by chance that the engineers who were suppose to be responsible professionals did not carry out good quality survey before constructing the building. An expensive human carelessness which God himself will frown with. This kind of attitude is also seen among our politicians today |

| Re: What Is The Will Of God? by Kobojunkie: 8:52pm On Jul 13, 2024 |
Michaeltreasure:But remember what the Will of God is, it is a Law under which one is bound. If His Will applies only to those who are of the blood of Jacob, what that means is those who are not descendants of that bloodline are not bound by His Will. It is that simple! ![]() |
