Can you just show an example of a language in the world whereas ble ble ble or any other gibberish you speak has a meaning? Most times, we Christian *speak in tongues" to make ourselves feel good and that gibberish make sense at all. Why should your tongue bring healing to someone in China and UK where they have good medical facilities and experts. Let charity begin at home as most of those people don't pray because they have systems that work. Read Acts 2 well enough and you'd understand that speaking in tongues is you, as a Yoruba boy who has not left Oshodi, speaking in Chinese so as to communicate the gospel of Christ to a Chinese who needs the savoir. That was the essence of the diverse tongues God has blessed us with. It is for the propagation of the gospel and nothing more. I am a Christian who understands that what we do is mere blabbing. We speak in tongues out of and in deception. As a Christian, I'd rather we manifest the fruits of the spirit - long-suffering, meekness, honesty, integrity instead of speaking in tongues with a heart full of hate.

In the bible, speaking in tongues started on the day of pentecost, when the disciples of Jesus or the apostles were baptized with the Holy Ghost. They were speaking in the other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. You can find it in Acts chapter 2. Read it yourself.

Bro ... what you wrote above is not all correct. Did you read that the Disciples at that point were " baptized by the Holy Ghost"? ... Yes/No? This is how you so called Christians twist Scripture and give non Christians reasons to claim Christianity is a religion of confusion. Yes.... on the Day of Pentecost they did speak in tongues but it seems like you stopped reading at that verse. If you read farther you would've learned that they spoke in tongues and the people understood what they were saying. When you or your Pastor or anyone speak in tongues does anyone understand what you're saying? Yes/No? If no ... doesn't the Bible basically say you should have an interpreter or sit down and shut your trap? Yes/No? If yes... then why are you here going against God's instructions but claiming God has answered your prayers? If no.... then either you need to continue reading or pages have been torn out/deleted from your Bible. Did the Disciples ever speak in tongues again? .. who else did after? ..you?...or your Pastor? What we are saying is that the speaking in tongues by modern Christians is fake. The origin of speaking in tongues is in Acts 2. The disciples spoke foreign languages understood by the people who heard them. But no one understands what modern Christians utter, even their tribesmen. Why speaking in tongues when it wouldn't benefit anybody? I don't think Christ would tell you to do something that wouldn't be beneficial to you and others

If i can just experience this speaking in tongues.....I have no doubt that with that gift i will be able to pray for a better nation and get instantaneous result same way i got the gift.....cos i cant fathom the inverse relationship with d way we pray in this country and the way the country is going backward......drfinitely there is something we are not doing right in terms of reaching out to our creator.....

When I was true with worshipping God with songs, I entered into a prayer of praise and. I began to call God sweet names, I was calling Him by His attributes praising and and worshipping Him. Then I became tired. I decided to sit down because I have been standing for over one hour.

As I sat down, I felt a sensation in my body, from that moment, I knew in my spirit that something was about to happen, and it happened.

Immediately something began to move from my body, immediately, it came to my mouth. Before I knew it, my mouth opened, I started to speak in tongues or pray in tongues. It was so powerful. It was like rivers of living water flowing out of my belly.

For almost 45 minutes, I was praying in tongues as the Holy Spirit gave me utterance. It was so great. It was lovely. It was so much that it didn't want to stop. It was like borehole water that doesn't finish, infact I have to force myself to stop it.

After that encounter, my prayer life has never remained the same. I can now pray for longer hours like 3 hours, 4 hours without getting tired. Before I received the gift of tongues, I could only pray for 30 minutes to 1 hour before getting tired or running out of words.

It has reached to the extent of whenever I want to pray but don't know what to pray, I will pray a simple prayer and tell God that I want to pray in tongues that the Holy Spirit should possess my lips, and that the Holy Spirit should pray through me. Immediately, my lips will open and I will start praying in tongues. God is alive, and He answers prayer. My prayer life have changed since then. Infact I am addicted to prayer. It is burning inside of me. Any day that passes without me praying is like I want to die. I can't survive without prayer.

My fellow pastor, evangelist, brother, sister, desire this gift of praying in tongues. It is more powerful and effective than praying with your understanding. By praying in tongues, you don't know what you are praying. But in the spirit, you are speaking mysteries. As you are praying in tongues, God can use your prayer and heal someone in China. Your prayer can travel to India, Japan, U.S.A, London, even to your village etc and lose someone in bondage.

I plead with you, desire this gift more than anything else. Remember, prayer is a powerful weapon. With it, you can touch anybody around the world right on your knees.

I am a devil's advocate here.....I don't understand all languages ...so I don't think it's necessary to say someone's tongues is rubbish because I don't understand it..Remember the acts of apostles pple quote also said the disciples were accused of being drunk because they don't understand....
