I don't know the game Tinubu is playing but these people are walking towards doom. How can u import crude oil when we have it in abundance here. Is there no way the federal government can mandatory it for Dangote to patronise our crude oil in order to bring down the price. Probably these people think we are all fools in this country. Revolution that's coming will surely sweep everyone of them. Even Dangote will run for his life.
It seems they used it for future loans, So no more crude for Nigeria till the loans are paid off. I weep

24m barrels of crude oil from America for a year is roughly 65,000 barrels per day ..way short of the 650,000 per day needed by the refinery

Does it mean Nigeria doesn't export crude oil anymore? Why import something that the country exports?
Are these people alright?

Throwback:
See as tone don dey change.

Gone are the days some were boasting that they will not sell their "oyel" to Dangote because he did not site his refinery in their own region. That they will see how he will operate without them.

Now, they are equally lamenting why Dangote is buying crude from other countries.

Who would lose if Dangote gets his crude oil from outside Nigeria?

The answer is in the cry of sabotage. Self-destructive sabotage.
Nigerian leaders and NNPCL are useless.

They have no solution to Nigeria's problems other than to borrow and borrow and borrow and loot and loot till every citizen is begging for bread on the streets.

Make it make sense that Nigeria, the 6th largest producer and exporter of crude oil in the entire world doesn't have fuel to supply to dangotè and now the greedy bastard has to import from Europe and America, our major buyers.

i dont understand what is really going on in this country, cant dangote buy the crude oil directly from Nigeria? or does Nigeria dont export crude oil again? Nigeria is among the lagest crude oil producing nation in the world, dangote buying crude oil from brazil and the US simply means that he has to pay to ship the oil to Nigeria which is going to influence the price dangote going to sell to making the fuel more expensive to Nigerians. somebody pleas throw more light on this issue because am confused right now

Grammatical Pedantry Syndrome
It used to be we thought that people who went around correcting other people's grammar were just plain annoying. Now there's evidence they are actually ill, suffering from a type of obsessive-compulsive disorder/oppositional defiant disorder (OCD/ODD). Researchers are calling it Grammatical Pedantry Syndrome, or GPS.

Expanding globally how?is this gud news? buying crude is not d problem bt at wat cost. Also, dont forget international politics takes place in oil n gas... meaning they cld decide not to sell to him at anytime to increase our dependence in imported products.d only way out is nigeria to sell him crude bt unfortunately Nigeria has sold its futures crude for loan.

the only saving grace Dangote has is that he already has the West African market as his target . Naija will continue to import fuel and Dangote will be exporting majority of his products and be making money

Apparently Nigeria need the forex to bring down inflation so they’d rather sell abroad and bring in the forex into government than sell to Dangote who will pay in local currency. Also there’s the complication that some of the future barrels are being amortised (sold) in advance against loans been taken today, which is horrible idea.
In summary Dangote as a business man is looking at plan b, c to get his crude. What does this mean for the average Nigerian? Most likely that Dangote may not sell to the Nigerian market, so no hope of supply issues easing or fuel price coming down.
He will start suppling Benin, Ghana, Togo etc at market price. If Nigerians hear what that market price is, there may be a riot. So I think he’ll just use the refinery as a regional supply base for Africa.

Why import from Brazil?.... Brazil at the other side of the world? ... just transportation costs will wipe out any chances of low cost fuel to local consumers. Why not import from the Middle East ... which is closer?...from Russia?....which is closer? Why not local crude?... wasn't the plan to use local crude? ... a plan heavily supported by the FG? ...why the about turn? Africa must not be independent nor self sufficient. That refinery will never perform at full capacity in the hands of an African. Sabotage loading.
