Most Nigerians love fooling themselves. Until Northern leaders and average Northerners are determined to rid themselves of the cancer of banditry and terrorism then no one can do it for them.

Not even if you replace the Nigerian army completely with the British and US army combined. Even NATO cannot fight and win ideological warfare because any victory will be temporary before the core ideology raises new combatants to continue the war.

Even the mighty USA know they cannot win ideological wars and this is why they left Iraq, Libya etal asap with pyrrhic victory and did not engage Russia over the Ukraine war.

Meanwhile the usual suspects, with their own agenda, can continue blaming Tinubu while deliberately circumventing the real cause of banditry and terrorism we all know enough to also be aware of the attendant solution that can end banditry and terrorism in the North.

Solution to banditry and terrorism is firmly allied to reorientation of the belief system of Northerners that non but Northerners themselves can tackle.

Peace can never be imported, not even by the mightiest army, if it is ideology being fought and not criminality and rebellion alone.
