In the illustration of Lazarus and the rich man the man talked about having five brothers in his father's house. Luke 16:27-28
Would you like to know them?

There were two men one a very rich man who has everything at his disposal and another man (a beggar) who is always brought to the gate of the rich man, moreover there were sours all over the beggars body and dogs used to lick his sours.
The rich man wasn't said to be unkind because it's the pleasure of the poor beggar to eat the crumbles that's falling off the table of the rich man.

Both of them died!

Now the poor beggar found himself in the bosom of Abraham but the rich man found himself in the grave (hell) suffering torment.

The narrator (Jesus of Nazareth) didn't tell any good works of the poor beggar neither did he tell of any evil deeds of the rich man.

What i want to bring to your notice today is the statement of the rich man who said:

I have five brothers, in order that he (Lazarus) may give them a thorough witness so that they will not also come into this place of torment. Luke 16:28

So where is the household of the rich man's father and who are his brothers?

In the first century the Jewish religious leaders who claimed they're the custodians of the law kept confusing the people with different man made rules each setting his own personal standards and making the laws uninteresting for the people to comprehend what exactly it's all about.

In my opinion, the only pastor that's has a good understanding of the Bible is Abel Damina.
His teachings inspires and lightnings me up even though these our so called men of God have almost made me to stop believing in the Bible.

IDENTIFYING THE FIRST BROTHER OF THE RICH MAN!

The rich man in Jesus' parable had five brothers and they are people who have been in pure worship before but they suddenly turned their backs on pure worship due to their high expectations as they wants to be treated as superior to others and since the true God forbids pride they become so bitter that they wish nobody continue worshiping God anymore.
So what is their next line of action?
Because they knew very well that there is no way they can worship God better than among His worshipers they will start accusing God's people with malicious intent planning to hurt anyone found worshiping the true God.

The first born generation of these symbolic BROTHERS are ADAM, EVE and CAIN they became so proud that they felt too high but when God approved the worship of Abel Cain decided to have Abel killed. Of course he can't worship the same God who rejected his worship that's why he ran away never to think of worship anymore.

So neither ADAM, EVE nor CAIN ever thought of revisiting pure worship after their rebellion.

When Jehovah established Israel as a nation another set of APOSTATES rose up against Jehovah's arrangement.
Korah led a group among the Israelites against Moses and Aaron criticizing Jehovah's servants and trying to cause division among God's people but Jehovah allowed them to project themselves as His enemies as they stood against His arrangement before destroying them.
So unlike ADAM EVE and CAIN the first generation of apostates representing a BROTHER of the rich man Korah and his group of rebellious Israelites were destroyed instantly.

The third generation of apostate BROTHERS of the rich man sufficed during the life and ministry of John the baptist and Jesus of Nazareth.
This BROTHER fought really hard to keep the truth away from the Jews as they were going about criticizing Jesus and his disciples anywhere around the district of Judea! Mark 9:14-16
The are the same people who schemed the death of Jesus and lied to their people that he was a impostor {Matthew 27:63} and they told all the Jews never to listen whenever anyone comes to them in the name of Jesus and if any Jew should go against this order such a person should be expelled from their Synagogues! John 9:22
So they made sure that no reputable historian said anything about Jesus of Nazareth till today only his disciples wrote about him due to the antagonism of the third BROTHER of the rich man.

The fourth generation of apostates sufficed after the ascension of Jesus to heaven, just as usual some members of the Christian congregation began to develop their own ideas but since the Apostles and elders who worked with Jesus of Nazareth were around it was difficult for these sons of the devil to make any negative impact on pure worship so they remain in the congregation causing division among brothers.
They are the ones referred to as the sons of disobedience in the congregation or Antichrist in the first century! 1John 2:18; 2John 7
These individuals were opposing the teachings of the Apostles and Elders in Jerusalem yet they will not leave the Christian congregation instead they keep on speaking twisted things to make members of the congregation view the Apostles and Elders as evil men claiming it's wrong for them to set standards for the congregation of God. 3John 9

So just like the rest of the BROTHERS the fourth generation of the brothers of the rich man proved to be sons of the devil! John 8:44

Today the fifth BROTHER of the rich man has been revealed!

After Jesus returned in the year 1914 he began restructuring his group so that they were once again organized and orderly just as they were in the first century that's why Satan jumped on his feet again to start recruiting his agents the very moment he noticed pure worship is taking shape in the endtime.

Note that Satan and his demons has been disfellowshiped from the midst of God's sons in heaven {Jude 6} so they don't know anything about God's program unless they study the way God's people are operating! 1Peter 1:12 compare to 1Peter 3:19-20; 2Peter 2:4

Immediately Satan noticed an organization of imperfect humans changing their operations towards practicing what Jesus taught he knew instantly that Jesus is using God's Holy Spirit to direct them because it's impossible for imperfect humans to get God's will done {Matthew 19:26} without the help God's Holy Spirit! John 14:26; 15:26; 16:13

Satan began his work again attacking this group with all his tactics but when nothing worked he started infusing hatred into the minds of some individuals right in the midst of the congregation, their job is to start saying twisted things against the organization because unlike Adam, Eve and Cain who had no organized people to malign now an orderly global family has been formed in divided world where people are spending billions of dollars to maintain military services and produce weapons in anticipation of killing their neighbors Jehovah and Jesus has used the Holy Spirit to direct imperfect humans so that they are able to use the scriptures to settle their disparities peacefully among themselves, divert their resources into production of food and information materials, stop the production, buying, selling and usage of weapons and vow never to raise weapons against anyone again! Isaiah 2:2-4; Micah 4:1-3

So the five brothers of the rich man weren't just literal brothers the same way Lazarus and the rich man weren't literal individuals.
They are five generations of apostates and they are all children of Satan the Devil! John 8:44
The first generation started right in the garden of Eden when Adam and Eve joined Satan to revel against God, that action means they have chosen Satan as their father and God instead of their Creator. Cain later joined that generation as he wanted to decide for God the right way to worship instead of humbly accepting correction.
The second generation started when some prominent elders led by Korah in Israel stood up against Moses and Aaron to divide God's people but instantly God destroyed them with fire from heaven.
The third generation started when John the baptist and Jesus of Nazareth told the Jewish religious leaders of the first century that their worship has been rejected by Jehovah God so just as the first and second generation of apostates began attacking pure worship the Pharisees, Sadducees, Scribes and other Jewish Rabbis plotted the execution of Jesus and started attacking his disciples everywhere they go.
The fourth generation started right in the midst of the first Christian congregation as members of the Christian family began criticizing the Apostles and Elders of the congregation speaking injuriously about them to turn away members from following them.
The fifth generation started after 1919 when the International Bible Students Association (IBSA) began doing exactly what the first century Jewish disciples of Christ did, the last brother of the rich man began speaking against the organization and ever ready to support any evil report brought up against the organization.

One common factor about the five brothers of the rich man is the fact that they can't find any better performing group than JEHOVAH'S organization so instead of leaving God's people to join another group they want to remain inside the spiritual temple and at the same time kicking against whatever is done inside the temple arrangement.

Today you will see individuals claiming they are "JW PIMO" this means they are still members of Jehovah's Witnesses organization Physically but their hearts are far away from the organization of God's people {Mark 7:6} you may wonder why can't they find another religion or church to worship?
They will start giving you excuses but telling you that the organization is worshiping Satan yet they remain there.

You can now understand why Jesus said in that parable that the rich man is begging father Abraham (God) to tell Lazarus (humble and obedient members of God's organization) to cool their thirst with droplets of water from his finger {Luke 16:24} Jesus said Abraham told him that there is a big chasm between Lazarus and the rich man {Luke 16:26} this chasm was there right from the time God told Satan the father of the five brothers:

And I will put ENMITY between you and the woman and between your offspring and her offspring. He will crush your head, and you will strike him in the heel.” Genesis 3:15

So no matter what happens there is no one belonging to the five brothers of the rich man who can cross over to the other side {Luke 16:26} because the intense hatred in their hearts will never allow them to se reasons why they need to mend their ways! Genesis 4:6-7

Today they are all over this forum always typing different articles against the organization of Jehovah's Witnesses telling people they are once members but ask them to present the church they're now associating with presently and they will start insulting, abusing and cursing you for asking such a question!

So there's one common attitude in the lives of all the brothers of the rich man:

They are always begging the likes of Lazarus to share what they have with them instead of being self sufficient, they can't stand on their own without having to do with the likes Lazarus! Luke 16:24, 27

The fifth BROTHER of the rich man is bitter just like his other brothers {Luke 16:28} fighting against God's arrangement since the time of Adam and Eve, Jesus referred to them as children of Satan the Devil {John 8:44} the Bible revealed that God put a lasting enmity between His loyal worshipers and the brothers of the rich man {Genesis 3:15} so that it's impossible for any of them to cross over to the side of God's people! Luke 16:26

When next you read the Bible book of John 8:44 know that Jesus wasn't referring to pagans who doesn't know anything about God's word or religionists who share contrary opinion regarding faith in God rather he was talking about the 3rd generation of Satan's children who are apostates and their generation started right in the garden of Eden when the first human couple rebelled against their Creator only to end up becoming children of Satan the first rebellious spirit son of God and father of all rebels!

Lazarus and the Rich man!

Generations of apostates (rich man) are under torment day and night due to richly blessings enjoyed by the generation of Lazarus (the poor beggar)

The generation of the rich man are rich in that they often have special privileges that others don't have and they do participate in feeding others information regarding sacred service to God making them spiritually rich.

Let's take Cain for instance, he is the first born of the first human couple so he had gained a lot of knowledge about the true God while growing up that's why the scriptures could say:

After some time, Cain brought some fruits of the land as an offering to Jehovah. But Abel brought some firstlings of his flock, including their fat. While Jehovah looked with favor on Abel and on his offering, Genesis 4:3-4

Surely Abel learned how to render sacred service to God from his senior brother since their parents have turned their backs on God but when God preferred Abel's sacred service Cain became really angry.
WHY?
Well he felt God shouldn't have chosen Abel's sacrifice above his own after all he came into service before Abel thereby setting standards for God on how worship should be approved instead of humbly accepting counsel he decided to kill his brother. Genesis 4:6-8

This is the attitude of all the brothers of the rich man and they don't want to be on the same level with others keeping one common line of thought instead they want to be celebrated as the first all the times.
In Jesus' day the third generation of apostates looked down on their fellow Jews claiming they are not on the same level like other Jews even though they are all worshiping in the same temple but does this spirit have any impact on the generation of Lazarus?

Listen to what the scriptures say about Moses:

Then Joshua the son of Nun, the minister of Moses from his youth, responded and said: “My lord Moses, restrain them!” But Moses said to him: “Are you jealous for me? No, I wish that all of Jehovah’s people were prophets and that Jehovah would put his spirit on them!” Numbers 11:28-29

So the generation of Lazarus are ever humble {Numbers 12:3} and willing to serve alongside their brothers as fellow believers wuth the same line of thought! Luke 17:10

But the generation of the rich man are arrogant the intention of their heart is to rule over others!
Note what attracted Adam and Eve in Satan's proposal to them before they joined him in his rebellion against God's sovereignty:

".....You will be like God....." Genesis 3:5

The Gods don't take instructions from anyone rather they give and unlike humble ones who are willing to serve alongside their brothers and sisters the generation of apostates wants to be on their own each viewing himself as a God instead of being commoners with others.

They will not agree to worship alongside their fellow humans rather they want to set their own standards like the one speaking below:

For God knows that in the very day you eat from it, your eyes will be opened and you will be like God, knowing good and bad. Genesis 3:5

So to them it's wrong to be on the same page with common believers but then why are they always trying to rich out to others is they're not ready to be submissive under the same rules with others?

Jesus answered:

"You (Apostates) are from your father the Devil, and you wish to do the desires of your father. That one was a murderer when he began, and he did not stand fast in the truth, because truth is not in him. When he speaks the lie, he speaks according to his own disposition, because he is a liar and the father of the lie" John 8:44

Each of them just wants to stay on his personal lane only to set standards for others but they will never ever agree to be submissive under the same line of thought with anyone!

Do you know them?

They are ready to do anything just to malign God's organization yet they refused to leave.

WHY?

Because there is nowhere else to go!

Abel was taught by his senior brother who is Cain how to offer sacrifices to God but he was giving his all {Mark 12:30} so God preferred his sacrifice to that of Cain and instead of Cain to accept God's right to determine which form of worship is pure he began planning to eliminate his brother.

The rich man's group is still BEGGING father Abraham to tell Lazarus to dip his finger in water and drop it on his tongue and cool his thirst!

The rich man was talking to God about Lazarus and he said there five of his brothers.
