What is Delta and Rivers doing with all this massive money sef?
Re: FAAC Allocation To Nigerian States (January - June 2024) by malali:
Thanks for releasing this information.
So the citizens can ask their Governors

What is being done with all these monies, asides buying cars for convoy and buying houses for side chicks.

Also transparency is not one sided. The presidency should tell us how many barrels of crude oil were sold on a daily basis and on a quarterly basis. How much was the total revenue accrued from crude oil sales. How was the accrued money disbursed.
The transparency should begin at the federal level

Look at Ondo and Oyo too. Ondo is the most terrible in the south west. Look at what Ekiti earned compared to Ondo state but there's more development activities going on in Ekiti compared to Ondo state.

I don't understand what's going on in Delta state.
One would think that with this huge revenue accruing to the state, there Will be a reasonable development in that state but 'no' reversed is the case.
God helps my state.

The only Elu P state received N54.2 billion. Within same period Ogun received N40 billion. Abia is owing workers 11 months salary of 18k minimum wage while Ogun is up to date with over 30k. Reason is very simple. Just tell them Tinubu is the problem, you are free man and the best governor for saying the truth while run to their social media handle to insult Tinubu down to his ancestors.

Good.

On a lighter note, how are the monies transferred? With USSD or internet banking or mobile app?

Now the big question is; What exactly have these states done with their federal allocation, particularly the top 5 oil producing states Delta, Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Bayelsa, and Lagos

When you look at infrastructure in Bayelsa, you will weep.

I always thought Cross River was one of them hard-hitting oil-producing states up there with them Deltas and Akwa Iboms?

Rednote:
Omo, Delta state is the richest. Wow
I wonder what they do with the billions. I mean, when you go to Akwa Ibom, you see where the billions have been spent. Delta not so much. Especially after Ibori.

Akwa Ibom has a lot to show for it. It's Delta I don't get what they do with theirs. Lagos is not an oil-producing state. High-allocation state because of population, yes. But that also means it has a lot of people to spend on. And one can actually see evidence of the billions in Lagos - maybe just not as much as one would expect.
Re: FAAC Allocation To Nigerian States (January - June 2024) by ogaontop(m):
Some of these states are owing the FG and the loan is split over many years, so FG will deduct the monthly loan repayment before disbursing any allocations!
Most of what you saw there are not the actual allocations!
States like Kaduna, Delta, and Abia has their ex-governors owing foreign bodies in Dollars and these allocations go into debt servicing; while some others are owing other local debts apart from the federal government.
So when your state governor is not performing, think about the amount he's paying back as loan collected by his predecessors plus the amount he's embezzling and know how much is left for "actual" work.

Lagos is generating far more than their monthly federal allocation.

Word on the street is that most of the money is simply handed out – too many poor people just waiting for a share. I hope that's not the case.

Apparently, the governor of Anambra state, is doing far better than Ogun state governor.

Lagos is an oil producing state, and produces about 40,000 barrels per day.

Yeah, I forgot. It's just not that important in Lagos's scheme of things, considering it's population and IGR.
