Nigeria sells crude and earns in dollars that the bulk of revenue

This dollar was sold at official rate to Cbn thats 450 per dollar

Now naira has devalued official rate is 1500 which is over 3 times the previous rate.. Plus we supposedly stopped playing over 1 trillion per month in subsidy

So the revenue should be 3 to 4 times the figures before may 29ths if we actually removed subsidy

Why are SS states less after removal?

I think it's wrong for fed to be sharing money for or to state govt.
The state is supposed to own and control their resources like it was during the first Republic, when we had 3 regions.
Fed sharing money to state makes the states lazy, they don't think of how to be innovative or generate revenue. They don't even care, they just cast blame on fed govt.

State Governors should now be doing far better!!!

Nigerians aren't serious about the betterment of the country else they would have held their respective Governors responsible . NLC is yet to hold any of the state governors by the balls but nah PBAT everyone wan hang because of dirty politics. We are were we are today as a nation because 98% of our Governors are lazy & clueless. What have they be doing with this increments FAAC allocation should stop, the FG should let every state manage its resources and vend for itself.

Do you know that the FG pockets a whopping 54% of FAAC allocation ... leaving a paltry 46% for 37 states and 774 LGAs to share?

As you are making this comparison, do well to consider inflation.

The removal of fuel subsidy rocketed the prices of everything, thereby making nonsense of the apparent increment in the federal allocation.

Allocation that the citizens of those states do and can never enjoy. It's very funny and sad to say that Nigerian really loves suffering and underdevelopment. Their government has made it that suffering and underdevelopment is now a way of life, while them their selves feast of the citizens miseries. Funny that the citizens do not care, but when it comes to boast and cap about trash, you will see them at top 1, what a big shame.

When some of us see these huge money you think it is that Huge.

The truth of the matter is that most states are just getting by. These money are majorly spent to pay salaries and pensions.

Apart from Lagos,Abuja and Rivers the others are just nothing. And we know why those two particularly stand alone

Oyo's monthly wage bill is about 11Billion every month with very little remaining to do infrastructure that is why they borrow to do infrastructure. The same with most other states.

They have to argument salaries with Internally generated revenue. That is why some states do not pay salaries or pensions and even at the last count,It is just 10 states in 36 states that are paying 30,000 naira minimum wage

The truth of the matter is that going to Abuja to collect monthly allocation is rubbish and should be stopped.

States should be the one in charge of their resources and giving the FG a percentage not this one they are giving them money to get by .

P.S. I am not 100 percent holding forth for the Govornors. I know some of them are useless just saying that which is the fact.

Note. This is the yearly federal allocation and not monthly. So divide each state by 12 months and you see how much he gets and the state population
